The thing is @Fairygirl. The more the governing bodies strike these people off, the more the people will be convinced it was true. Only in America could this happen, Ā the U.K. doctor who said similar was struck off here and started up practicing in America.Ā
On a different note, Iāve just read through that personās posts from the beginning, Ā makes my laugh of the day, Ā how can anyone be so arrogant, itās makes a laughable read.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.Ā
The sad thing about this forumite, is the damage done to new people @Lyn. The utter rubbish [the tirade about clay soil not existing, for example] is one thing, but the recommendations of totally unsuitable plants without checking anything re the poster who's asking for help, and their conditions,Ā is entirely different.Ā I know several people have voiced concern about that.Ā The claims about bees/moths etc, yet knowing very little about their lives, just highlights the peculiarity of it all.Ā
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Well, no fuel, no move of shed. Shed now sitting on grass ready to be moved today - looks like being next week though with a week of rain forecast. Pah. Minor issue though eh?Ā At least I've got may favourite seat to watch the Spurs game this afternoon (although I'll probably watch it either from behind a pillow or the settee depending on how bad it is).
What made me smile as well was my niece's husband went to get the van last night and passed a few garages around Brighton that were out of fuel - with no one queuing. Then he passed a line of cars queueing for another garage - and as he went past the front of the queue the garage was bollarded (?... I bollard, I used to bollard, my nan was an expert bollarder. To bollard is a joyous thing...) up and a man was there moving the cars on. Us Brits just love queues.
I listened to Quasi-Kwarteng (does that mean he isn't a real Kwarteng?) talking about how the market will resolve issues with regard to the current energy problem. Hmmm. Without guidance, doesn't the market cause the problems? Everything from banking crashes, to pollution, to toooooo much CO2, to... is caused by market forces isn't it? - people wanting to make money without thinking of the consequences. That is the market isn't it?
In the past I think all govs had time to be reactive. Things moved slowly - now with a world village and science moving at such a rate, govs have got to lead and try to establish a sustainable future by being pro-active - not say '...the market will sort it out...'.
Steve Tu, you could try what my OH does? Not a football fan, but for crucial rugby or cricket, heās been known to record the match and only watch it if heās happy with the result!
I started off in my comfy position...then hid behind a pillow, then behind the settee, then from behind the door - peeking through the crack. And it's still toooooo scary.
I must be a masochist as I'm going to watch the second half through binoculars fromĀ Ā down the garden....
Haha! OH decided not to watch the Russian Grand Prix live. He did watch the timing screens so he knew what was happening without the inane and hysterical commentary. Happy with the result, so he is now watching the replay on the big screen. At least I didnāt have to put up with him pacing up and down as the chequered flag approaches, as has occasionally happened in the past! careful you donāt steam up the binoculars and miss a crucial goal!
