@WonkyWomble say hi to the Stepsongs from us (love that typo ... think it should stick to them).  Roast pork here today ... then later in the week we may well be having jerk beef ... depending on the weather.  If it stays warm I'll raid the fish drawer in the freezer.

@Hostafan1 ((hugs)) ... can GP up the meds or something?

Hi everyone unexpected shower of rain here, so having to rethink the day.  @WonkyWomble, my OH found she had to threaten SIl return plates/containers or NO MORE FOOD! Worked a treat 😄

I just couldn't resist sharing this from the wonderful Jay Rayner with you ... makes me glad that I can't afford it and don't know anyone who'd try to take me there ...

    That link doesn't work @Dovefromabove.

    Hello all.
Looked a lovely morning, I put on a summer dress this morning. We went to coffee with a friend and sat in her garden, I was frozen. Cold wind, day seems to be getting cloudier and colder, I'm back in jeans.

I googled Guardian+Jay Rayner and found it that way @Busy-Lizzie.   Very biting critique.

Poor Hostafan. Don’t know how practical this might be for you, but I’ve heard it works for those with sleepless babies, and no work or other caring commitments. Every time OH falls asleep in the day, get your own head down quick and have a nap, rather than catching up on the housework etc. Not a long term solution obviously, but that bit of extra sleep could make all the difference. You might find yourself loading the washing machine during the night, and living in a bit of a tip otherwise, but at least you might feel a bit better. Good luck.

Been waiting all afternoon to get to the veg patch to pick some veg for dinner. First it was the roe deer who was sitting by the veg cage chewing the cud and now she has finally gone the old fox has taken up the spot for an afternoon siesta. I must be getting soft in my old age letting sleeping dogs, foxes and deer lie.
