  • @Eustace Wonderful crop of grapes (eating or wine?) We harvested all our grapes (eating and wine) some 6 weeks ago.
Our aubergines were rubbish this year but your white casper looks interesting. Shall have a go next year.

@bertrand-mabel Mine are dessert grapes. As I do not do any trimming of the grape bunches, the grapes though many in number are small. Usually they are made into juice.

A few chillies, tomatoes and a couple of Turkish orange aubergines:

I have moved 2 of the smaller chilli plants on to the kitchen window sill. Rest are mostly frosted from last night's frost. The tomato plant is in the porch where it will stay until I harvest the remaining green tomatoes.

Some more chillies picked from the frosted and dying chilli plants. On the right are bottle gourds, which managed to reach only this stage before the plant succumbed to frost. Next year, I will sow them earlier and see whether I get any viable ones. I thought they were bottle gourds, now have checked my sowing diary and it says

    Courgette Tromboncino.

  • The first harvest of Chinese artichokes.
Not sure we will bother next year but it was an experiment.
They took a very very long time to get going so maybe that is why they aren't all as big as they should be.
Having them tonight so will see if they do have a nutty flavour.

  • Not a brilliant photo as taken in the kitchen late afternoon.
Moolis and beetroot ready to be added to the harvest parcel we are taking to our son tomorrow. He is a great cook and loves to experiment with different veg and fruits. Great for us as we are having lunch with him.
