Whoops!  I thought the cucumbers were being a bit slow … I should’ve looked more carefully

and the foliage on the runner beans is so lush this year that it’s like a jungle expedition finding the beans

  • Just finished doing another chutney.
Piccalilly but as we can't grow caulis I used what we had.
Beure Hardy pears blown down in the winds last week, onions, cucamelons, chillies, kohl rabi and stems from our bolting mizuna plants.
Smells good and looks great. Will have to wait a while before tasting though but all from the garden harvest.

Thanks for all who post in this thread. Everytime I see a photo in this thread, I'm upbeat and hope that we can grow our own fresh produce in our gardens/plots/pots free from all pollutants. :)

@Dovefromabove which variety of cucumber are the spineless ones in your photo? TIA.

They’re ‘Patio Snacker’ but I’m afraid  they’re not spineless @Eustace … they’re disappointingly prickly until they’re bigger than they ought to be 🙄

Oh Plums, this is is a mere fraction of what is on the tree.  More than this has already fallen on the ground.  Not sure what we are going to do with them all.

Freeze them … make compote (wonderful with vanilla ice cream)
    Plum chutney’s great

If I can use the 38.5 pounds last year one tree produced  I'm  sure you will do ok @Allotment Boy 😁 compote,  jam, pickle, crumble or freeze whole, all good 😋

Not much space in the freezer though,  need room for toms, beans etc.

Then it's jars all the way, get cooking 😆
  • Did it last year when we had a glut after doing everything else and it was lovely.
