How come your outdoor tomatoes got ready before the greenhouse ones? I've never had a greenhouse, so I don't really know, but I thought greenhouses make stuff ripening sooner. No?
The sungold are early to ripen, greenhouse has gardeners delight which shouldn't be long and marmade. The marmade are are a beef steak tomato so are late to ripen. 1st year growing tomatoes properly so I'm just winging it
As I live in Lincolnshire and have had a greenhouse for five years, but growing toms for 30, have worked out that here you should be able to get the first salad tomato ripe by the third weekend in July in the greenhouse, and by the first of August outside. Cherry toms could be July outside too. Weather permitting 🙄. I have had toms of the right size just waiting to ripen in the greenhouse all month, it's amazing how long that last bit takes till picking. If the temperatures hits 30° the toms will pause, and wait till it goes back down to continue growing. @Wilderbeast is right that beef toms and cooking ones like my Roma will take another month to ripen @alberto.defanis , especially as my Roma will virtually ripen all together.
The season is generally late this year I am still waiting to pick any Toms, if was too cold earlier and now as @purplerallim said its gone the other way. Night time temperatures are nearly as important as daytime music for good flavour.
