Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth :)

  • @Eustace STRAWBEERY! Wow.
You had figs and now strawberriers.
    Amazing.
Yes we have chillies....but not the others.

Harvested the last 10 aubergines, without doubt these have been my top performing veg I've ever grown. Have lost count but we have had maybe 60 fruits of the 3 plants, not bad for £2 for a grafted plant in a special deal.

Also pulled the remaining borlotti beans which are now drying, interestingly the 2 outside canes made up half of the total crop no idea why

@Wilderbeast wow 🍆. Mine are still growing. I think I have another 5 or 6🍓yet to ripen on the plants. May be they're confused about the season 😳.
@bertrand-mabel the figs for next year's harvest have already started forming on a smaller fig tree; none on my bigger one.

  • @Eustace we must be doing something wrong with our fig even though we had 3 years ago a great crop and before.
Do you keep the small ones on during the winter?
We have read so many different things about take them off/leave them on.

Yes, I leave the tiny ones formed this season on the tree. They take almost an year to grow big enough to pick.

Hey all. My garden has been an untended mess this year unfortunately. Found these amongst the foliage that had taken over half the garden though!

I’ve no idea what I’m doing.

@Latimer Nice marrows. Are they from seeds sown this year and left to fend for themselves? or from last year's uncollected fruit?

@Eustace that just goes to show you how untended they were, they're butternut squash 😄

Sown from seed this year, planted out and then life took over and I wasn't at home for 3 months of the summer!
I’ve no idea what I’m doing.
