We're absolutely stuffed. I had onglet steak with trimmings, followed by a chocolate tart, chocolate soil (!) and raspberry puree (minute) with a marscarpone something, accompanied with two glasses of a very nice blush prosecco. OH had an asparagus risotto with chicken followed by 3 icecream scoops. There was a cloudburst whilst we were there so poor folks sitting outside had to make a quick dash inside, followed by a beautiful rainbow over Solsbury Hill  (made famous by Peter Gabriel) if anybody remembers him. We finished with coffee whilst waiting for the rain to ease off.

    Sounds delish @Lizzie27.

Thank you @Dovefromabove, we watched some, but they didn't show much. I enjoyed the ladies gymnastics too.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
Just watching the sculling … whoops!  that was embarrassing 😳 At least they didn’t actually crash into the Australians phew!  Sorry @Pat E  🤪

Rain!  Light. Steady for this thirsty earth.

Early start to hear the sparrow's fart @D@Dovefromabove  !!

We had some rain yesterday @tui34 … it’s freshened things up a bit 😊 I think we’ll get some more later on today.

Hi Dove. I’m trying not to get involved with the Olympics. We’ve spent weeks watching the cycling in France and still have Spain to go before long, so enough TV and sport for now. Mind you, it’s a bit hard to avoid since every time I turn the TV on, it’s full of it.

We’ve just watched Lidia with her Italian cooking. An old favourite of mine. My preferred style of cooking.  🤪
Black clouds outside. Maybe some moisture here.
