Goodness Hosta, what a to do. You have to admire his determination though, however did he manage to get home, did he actually walk 12 miles? I'm surprised he remembered where he lived. What on earth happens now?
What antics you have been up to out and about! @Hostafan1 ..... did you manage to get him back to the care home or did the carers come and collect him?
Enjoying the Olympics.
The garden has started giving, so we are enjoying peppers and tomatoes for a start. Aubergines, corn and cucumbers are coming up the rear.
What a shock @Hostafan1. Where is he now? Must have been tricky to get him back to the home, if he's back.
With reference to your earlier post about that man not wanting a vaccine, then dying from Covid, everyone in church this morning had been vaccinated and we all wore masks and kept our distance, despite the easing of the rules.
I must get on with food preparation for tonight when our friends are coming for dinner. Crab and salmon rosties with avocado salsa, then roast chicken breast with roast vegetables, then lemon tart.
Had wondered about visiting an NGS garden, but the only one I like the sound of is a bit far and we already saw it another year.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Hostafan, that is just unbelievable! No breach of security? What a load of cr*p! Must mean they are admitting to a complete failure of their duty of care instead! I have to admire his ingenuity though! Have you found out how he managed to get back home? Obelixx, I’ll have a slice of that Coronation chicken pie if there is any left! Sounds delicious.
Here you go @Ergates - https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/coronation-chicken-pie I used parsley instead of spinach as the Swiss chard ground to a halt in the heatwave so not enough greenery but at least it didn't bolt. I also used Tikka Masala paste instead of korma and a generous pinch of crushed Kashmir chillies as I like a bit more kick. Yummy.
Love the sound of your salmon and crab rostis @Busy-Lizzie. Can't wait to get back to the markets in Les Sables and buy some crab.

Thanks, Obelixx, although I’d enjoy it even more if you cooked it for me! I’ll pop some ingredients on my next shopping list and have a go! I do love Coronation chicken, and I also love pies.
It works well with filo pastry too as I didn't have enough puff pastry the first time I made it. Today I did and I think, on balance, I prefer the filo but it was still very good. Make the filling a day ahead so it can cool and mature its flavour.
