Afternoon folks,  Hope you give them hell @Hostafan1 it's just not acceptable.  How on earth did they not notice he was missing.
I'm doing OK @tui34 I've been out in the garden all day.  Think I'll know about it tomorrow.  Lawns have been mowed and edged.  Borders weeded.  Have been cutting back Nepeta and a few other perennials that have gone over.  Roses have been summer pruned.
Still no rain here, it's just been mild and cloudy, great weather for gardening.
Roast chicken for dinner here with veggies out of the garden.

Still awake at 4, eventually went to sleep woke up at 8.45 feeling absolutely dreadful
Hubby nipped off to the. Shops for the couple of bits.

    HI all,
    Thanks for the good wishes.
He's spending tonight here. I've no idea what to do tomorrow.
Devon County County "emergency duty team" have been in touch. They're pretty angry about the whole thing.
What happens next? will the care home even take him back? Will he be re Sectioned as being  risk? Will he be sent miles away to a " secure unit "?
My heart says let him stay here, but by head is putting up a pretty strong counter argument.
    Devon.

Afternoon Forkers.  Wow @Hostafan1 - hope you managed to get him back OK. V. resourceful of OH but anything could have happened to him.
Haven't seen any of the Olympics - there is so much going on at the moment.  But we've decided on the winners for the Garden Comp and I've done the vouchers/certificates and notified them. Also a press release for the local rag.  As well as doing more work on the Garden Market I'm running in early Sept. (hope we can go ahead and hope my Norfolk/Suffolk chums will be able to pop along - I'll be the one looking tired in a high viz jacket!).
Was hoping for a downpour last night so deliberately didn't go into town to water the planters I'm responsible for.  No luck - so did it this morning.  Dropped off the outline for the new 'Town Trail' leaflet we are reissuing, popped round to the main winner of the Garden comp. to take pics as she doesn't do digital, took them with my phone and then spent 2 HOURS trying to get them off my phone and onto my laptop. Connection issues, email issues, much googling and finally got it sorted by turning off airplane mode and turning off data and keeping only wifi.  Grr.  Turns out I don't do digital either.

I can’t quite believe that happened @Hostafan1. I hope you are both doing ok. He doesn’t need a secure unit, he needs caring staff who actually spend time with him and help him feel safe and occupied. I would ask how frequently they are going to check on him and if they have evidence of that.

Fish and fox update…unfortunately at least 3 of the fish have died (one in the fox, two in the bin). We are now thinking that the pond was low in oxygen after the hot spell and perhaps they died in the night then the fox scavenged a few.

I hope everyone is ok this Sunday evening.
