Punkdoc, I’m not sure who she is and why she was here in the first place. Not in my circle of who’s who. I did on the afternoon news see that she’s been kicked out.
Scorchio again today, so resting is the order of the day.
Thank you @Pat E, for your country's wonderful good sense in removing that evil witch Katie Hopkins.
The only problem with that @punkdoc is that she'll be coming back here
Sat in bed early listening to woodpeckers yaffling close by ... one was on the lawn tackling our ants ... then I did the ironing ... just a few linen shirts and face masks ... and the sprinkler is on the wilderness so that the Lon. Serotina gets a drink ... it was looking very thirsty yesterday evening. When it's had enough I'll connect the hose to the seeper hose we've run along the row of tomatoes.
Other tasks today include making the bread and some beanburgers for tonight's supper. I've not made any for ages so it'll be a bit of a trial and error sort of thing. I'll have to check out the food forum for some recipes etc. first.
That's probably enough to do for the day.

@Pat E, I'm afraid KH exemplifies the hate filled bigots who are not afraid to shout their vile bigotry to an eager audience of equally hate filled bigots.
The tree man came this morning to get rid of the huge ivy that is threatening our car port roof. It is actually growing up next door's hawthorn tree. NDNs are an elderly couple (I suppose we are too, even though we are only 27) and can no longer cope with it so OH offered to call the tree man and pay him. However, there is a bird with babies nesting in the top so the tree man couldn't do it. I think it's our friendly front garden robin.
We have a couple of friends coming for dinner tonight so I went to the next door village's shop for a few things. Friend's had a tooth out so it's fish pie, soft. The shop actually had fresh cod. It's a very good shop with some luxury type food and home made pies, great baker and a lot of gin! All the flavours of gin that you can imagine.
I've been re-doing my flower bed plans, rubbing out plants that died and writing in new plants.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I think quite a few birds have late broods this year @Busy-Lizzie ... the spring was so horrid some of their first attempts failed. Glad your tree man spotted the nest in time It sounds like a good village shop ... have a lovely fish pie

Cor,Dove, beanburgers,I'll be round. Yesterday my grandkids other grandparents did a BBQ for our wedding anniversary, hubby tucked into his ribs, kebabs, etc, making rather suggestive groaning noises. I was very happy with the various salads, yup home grown, cheeses, posh bread,BBQ corn on the cob. Then we played cricket on the local village green,in the shade
Hello folks, feel a bit tired today as it was too hot to sleep much last night, so not doing much. Managed our usual walk and collected a prescription (masked). Our pharmacy is only tiny so it's only fair on the staff. Won't be masking elsewhere though if I can help it. The washing is on a clothes airer in the courtyard as it was shadier and I've just postponed my massage booked for tomorrow, far too hot for that. Our new coffee table is being delivered tomorrow so I'm trying to give the old one away on Freegle.
