    Evening. Lovely warm evening here.

We don’t have a smart meter as I don’t see much advantage to me. We had an electricity usage box once and what that proved is how much energy a tumble drier guzzles! (The drier is now in the garage for emergencies only!).

Just harvested a courgette and roasted with some other veg (sadly not home grown) to have with a bit of pasta 😋

Hope everyone is ok and the weather is being kind.

I doubt if we’ll get much use from the little thingummy that does the equivalent of showing us how fast the wheel is going round (remember those folks?) but we get a much better tariff on our dual fuel account with a smart meter than without. The fact that the power companies know when we’re using most of our power seems like good sense to me … how else are they supposed to know how much fuel/power to send our way if they don’t know when we’re likely to need it?  I suspect @chicky could give us a bit of insight into this 😊

Poor you, Hostafan, and poor hubby. Hope the hospital will be pulling all the stops out to ensure that he will be kept as comfortable as possible.

Oh @Hostafan1, I am so very sorry to hear that. You kinda know it's not going to be good news but it's like being hit in the stomach when the doc actually tells you out straight and your mind can't really take it in. Be kind to yourself and have a good howl, and remember your friends on the forum are always here for you. A lot of us have gone through what you are going through so we understand your anguish.

I'm here! *Waves*.  Just popped in to say goodnight.  Out tomorrow (our wedding anniversary and a visit to the Henstead Exotic Garden) but will catch up soon.
