Right, bread's on its last prove, bedlinen's flapping in the breeze, tomatoes' manicure has been done and more stringing up for them and the cucumbers is finished ... some willowherb has been evicted from the herb bed (just 'cos it's got herb in its name it thinks it's entitled to be there!), lots of watering has been done ... I need to do some potting on but I'll wait until OH is at home later in the week to shift big bags of compost ... now I'll unpick the last row of my new lacy knitting project and sort it out ... at the moment it's a case of two steps forward and one back ... once I've done a couple of repeats of the two different panels I'm sure I'll be able to see what it's supposed to look like and be able to put errors right as I go ... just now it's a bit like reconstructing a spider's web   I do like a challenge  :s 🤣

That's looking lovely @Busy-Lizzie ... I thought you might have got lost in the undergrowth ... or fallen down one of those long lost treacle mines there used to be down on the Suffolk Norfolk borders https://www.suffolkgazette.com/business/suffolk-treacle-mine/  ;)

The garden looks really good BusyL. Your energy puts me to shame.

I have a similar problem with my knitting Dove. Ive been asked to produce more of the little knitted dolls for the gallery since there’s only 3 left. When I pulled out the basket where I’d stashed them, I found lots have been knitted, but are waiting to be sewn up. It’s a while since I’ve played with them, so I need to get my brain to sort out my favourite way of finishing them off. Maybe tomorrow.  😳😳

Its time for bed now, so night all.

     Afternoon all,
Vicarage garden looks really good @Busy-Lizzie, can you come and do mine please?
I'm just waiting for lunch to subside before hopefully going out and doing some weeding. I need also to pull up all the alliums as I don't need any more self seeding.
It was warm and sunny this morning when we did our usual walk but it's clouding over now with some black clouds appearing so my bedlinen's in the tumble dryer.

    Afternoon all.

Just home and watching a display of flying ants take off from the patio. Brings back memories of my Mum going out with a kettle on Summer days. It’s very warm here this evening and forecast to ramp-up the next few days 😎

Hope you are all doing ok.

Hello @AuntyRach, you've been fairly quiet recently, is it busy at work again?

I've just noticed loads of anthills in the front lawn this afternoon, perhaps ours are getting ready to fly.

Work is busy but not with COVID. Not sure how we would cope (in every sense) with another surge.

My ant hills have been building the last week or so and it’s typical to see them fly off on a warm day, often after a rain shower - which is what happened. I’ve entered the details into a tracker app.

The hedgehog popped out during the melee of flying ants! Coincidence?? She looks healthy and we have seen her out collecting slugs in the early hours, so hoping all is well.

    Thank you  :)

Some friends told us about a plant nursery about 35 minutes away so we went this afternoon. Loads of lovely plants at half the GCs prices, reminded me of the one I went to in France. I bought 8 perennials, have found places for 6

We stopped at a thatched pub for a beer on the way home.

    Beautiful photos @Hostafan1.

Our social life is suddenly improving, we're out for dinner with friends tomorrow, birthday celebration dinner with family on Friday and an overnighter and then lunch with friends on Sunday. Oh, and OH has a sports do plus dinner on Thursday. The following week we have a family wedding to go to.
How will I cope with all the excitement!

I'm so envious of your hedgehog visitor @AuntyRach. I'd just love to see one here but too many badgers around.
