I went for a walk this afternoon, glad I wore wellies and took my mac. Last year during the first lockdown I enjoyed walking on the bridleways behind our house, they had been mown. This year they are overgrown and neglected looking, hard to see the path sometimes. Horrid nettles too.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Good morning all 😊 ☕️ thanks @Pat E and everyone … I feel a bit of a fraud … I have had absolutely no pain from this tooth extraction. None at all … a slight dull headache for half an hour and that’s all (and that was probably because I’d not had my usual amount of caffeine as I wasn’t allowed hot drinks). Today the instructions are for a salt rinse every two hours. He’s either a superb dentist (which I think he is) or I’ve been very lucky …. probably both. 😃

@Busy-Lizzie that’s a same about the mowing … does the parish council usually organise mowing the footpaths? Possibly Social Distancing meant that didn’t happen?

Morning folks, which tooth was extracted Dove? You definitely WERE lucky. I've had 2 in my lifetime, the last about 6 years ago, double bottom,I broke half the tooth eating a grainery roll. It had a big filling from the 70s. Not enough to save, dentist unable to remove, because the root was at 45% angle under next tooth. So Max Fax surgeon. Yup,no pain (at first!!)It was 18th December, managed to get emergency app, after a few days of pain getting worse. My second Dry Socket, max dose of both pain killers, hardly touching it! Dentist/clinic closed, Christmas/new year, left message on phone. Local hospital doesn't "do" dental stuff. Overall 4 weeks. I knew I HAD to force myself to go, otherwise I would NEVER go again!
OH is away in Namur with a hired van to fetch Possum's furniture and contents home so no lying a-bed reading for me as I've been on early cat, dog and chook feeding and letting out duties this morning. We had a lovely storm with howling wind and lashings of rain at bedtime and I think there was more rain just after dawn (Cosmos likes an early cuddle so always awake at dawn) as Minstrel came in wet and needing cuddles too.
Just having a coffee and then I'm off round to the neighbours' side of our back fence to attach some finer and lower mesh fencing to the posts to stop adventurous hens from wandering over there and fossicking in the mangers he uses to feed newly weaned calves. Can't do it on our side as there's too much undergrowth and brambles that we can't try and clear till after the nesting season ends and the wee darlings are sneaking under a stock mesh fence intended to control cows, not sneaky limbo dancing chooks.
Wellies are standard walkies footwear for me @Busy-Lizzie but cos they're comfy. Hate trainers and walking boots have very rigid soles IME. Shame about the bridle paths not being maintained. Round here it's all being maintained as usual except for leaving grass a bit longer and cutting hedges later to allow wildlife a bit of space.
Hope your massages do the trick @Yviestevie. How's OH doing?

Are you tucked up nice and warm @Pat E?
Another dreary day here, more rain to come.
Went to a 36th. wedding anniversary do last night. Very COVID secure, just 6 of us, outside in the rain, under a gazebo, very enjoyable.
