OH turned it off ... waited a while and then and turned it on again .... it's sprung back to life
Thought today was going to be dry so as OH is at home we were looking forward to a good walk across the marshes once the school entrance chaos at the top of the rise is over ... however it's clouding over now and doesn't look that promising ... just got a few jobs to do and then we'll put some walking shoes on ... cross your fingers for us ...
We also need to fill the bird feeders, do the tomatoes' manicure and pull up some chickweed ... all before the tennis starts ...

That is really hard news for you both @Hostafan1. Huge Obxx hugs. Do they have a prognosis and a plan for palliative care? I like your twiggies.
In a way that must be a relief @Pat E as you've worried before about him having to take on too much of the heavy work at his age. At least by manning phones or radio he can still contribute and share the benefit of his experience.
It is raining here - a steady drizzle and not forecast. Doesn't matter much as we are busy sorting out all Possum's stuff indoors and I have to rest my knee anyway. Later on I need to do major surgery on the larger of our two wisterias as OH managed to swipe the end with the van door and has broken a 5" thick branch and left a big tear in the bark. Humph!
Forecast not good for the next few days so we're moving our day out and lunch at the beach from Monday to Friday. Good timing as I can then celebrate having had the last knee jab for at least a year. Possum gets her second Covid jab this pm - another good thing.
Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing.

Me too @punkdoc ……final plants to plant and some edges to edge.
Isolation ends at midnight tonight …..and we finally get to give littlest chicklet a hug 🤗
Looking forward to Hampton Court Flower Show on Sunday …..the TV coverage looks good. And fingers very crossed for a dry day next Thursday when it is littlest chicklets al fresco graduation ceremony.
And then we go on our overseas holiday (Isle of Wight 🤣).
So lots of checking of the weather forecast happening here ☀️🌦🌧🌦☀️
Absolutely gorgeous down on the marshes … the river is full of life … green woodpeckers in the poplars and so many butterflies on the meadowsweet it looked as if the grazing marsh was dancing in the sunshine.

Morning all, we're back from a very enjoyable holiday in Suffolk at a very impressive hotel. Built in 1530 by the lawyer to Elizabeth the First. Talk about walking in the steps of history! Food was jolly good as well. Visited Woodbridge, Aldeburgh Southwold, (wet and windy on the pier), Helmingdon Hall Gardens (pics on Garden Visits) and Framlingham Castle. Got to sort out the house today as visitors expected for the weekend.
Gosh that's tough @Hostafan1. Could it be that which has caused some of his previous problems? Sending sympathy and a hug.
I'm sorry about your OH too @Pat but maybe it will be less worrying for you if he's not so actively involved in firefighting.
I've just had my haircut with my favourite girl in Diss. She's done it really nicely and she remembered all about me and asked after OH. I hadn't seen her for a year. I've cut it myself since I had the disastrous, extremely short cut in January.
We are off to Morrisons for the weekly shop.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Another lovely sunny day, but we are due a wet weekend, so need to get out there.
