    Holidaymaking abroad.
I understand it can be frustrating and costly when the traffic light coding changes, but how many people DON'T know that the gov changes its traffic light coding on a regular basis and reacts to what it perceives to be threats?
If you want to go on holiday - err on the cautious side and budget loads of PCR tests and hotels for isolating. (Edited to add: If you can't afford the additional time off work, don't go).Don't just complain when it happens.

It seems that an annual holiday abroad is regarded by many as a minimum entitlement
when I was a child a week in a guesthouse in Llandudno or Woolacombe every couple of years was a huge treat. Some folk don’t know how lucky they are 🙄

    It’s ok @Hostafan1
we’ve eaten so many cream teas and pasties over the years that we qualify as ‘almost local’ 😉

Have you spotted the diving’s on the telly now?

I prefer the "offbutton". Sun out, some blue sky, lots of wind (no,not me!) There's thick shorts, jeans,it's going outside!

BBC news is interviewing a woman about the impact of Covid passes on tourism in Paris from Monday.  Doh!  She ought to know that Parisians desert the city en masse in August - they head for the coast or the hills - and there are very few foreign tourists cos of Covid.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

It's not a case of entitlement for many people.  We originally booked in June 2019 to travel in May and September 2020, long before the world had heard of Covid.  We got a full refund on the May holiday and moved the flights for the September one to September 2021.  We have now moved that to September 2022 in the hope of some kind of normality by then.
