Morning @Dovefromabove you weren't there just now. Hope your needles arrive today.

  • Lily enjoy your lunch in the garden.  Lily oh and Busy it’s good when you get a good hairdresser although I cut my own.  Dove I hope not too long to wait now.   I’m watching the Matteo v Hubert match, gripping.

RosieBB it was a good match wasn't it. I'm watching Djokovic v Shapovalov now and this is a nailbiter too. There was some rain here a bit earlier. Good excuse to stay in and watch the semis.

Busy, how long has it been since your last haircut with your favourite girl? Did you go for a trim whilst in France? My next appointment is next Tuesday in town. They rang me up and asked if I could go earlier as it is going to be one of the occasions they have a fire drill in the Galleries shopping centre and they didn't want me to be half washed when the alarm sounds so I am due there for 08:30 now. SGL, I'm sure that you will be right about eldest Poppet.

Well that was a little bit of a disappointing match RosieBB but Shapovalov will have his time again - he's only young. Too many unforced errors.
Dove I use the circular variety of those needles - the ones with the interchangeable tips, but when I am using straight needles I prefer using bamboo ones as they are kinder to my hands.

@Ladybird4, it's a year since I saw my favourite haircutting girl, I was surprised she remembered me and asked about OH's hip and selling my old French house. I had my hair cut in France in January, she cut it so short I thought it was awful, but at least it lasted. I cut bits off in the meantime but I missed my old wardrobe mirrored doors.

After Morrisons we had lunch at a pub looking out over the lake. It was only supposed to be a "light bite" lunch but we don't feel like dinner now.

@Ladybird4 Poppet would have to stay off school for 10 days if she didn't have a test. But I'm sure she'll be ok. Although we can't see them now till they get the results. Which should be tomorrow afternoon.
Where you had your lunch sounds lovely  @Busy-Lizzie
  • LB I thoroughly enjoyed the Berretini v Hurcasz match some wonderful moments.  The Djokovic v Shapovolov match was challenging with missed opportunities but, as you say, he’ll be back.  Sunday will be interesting.  I’ve done Lily’s tv today so I can watch the match through.  Lily fingers crossed for you poppets test is negative.  LB it’s good that the hairdressers rang you to warn you and to come in early.  I’m signing out now, goodnight everyone.
