    Morning all,

Good luck with getting Jack some justice, @Ladybird4. I detest that kind of exploitation!

I don't sleep much but try not to log on during the small hours. I've obviously broken that the last couple of nights :o

Looks like it might be okay here weather-wise today. The forecast keeps shifting but bright and a touch cooler looks likely.

I've done my indoor chores and put the bin out, so the garden awaits. I'm considering mowing at least part of the back lawn. It's only been done once this year (a couple of months ago) and has definitely attracted pollinators but I think I'm going to cut a section and put a mowed path in. I'll leave the areas with the most flowers in them as a good compromise.

Morning Hazel oh crumbs hot flushes in the night are unbearable 🥵 Your honeysuckle must smell gorgeous, the warm air really enhances the scent. Hope the tomato watering device proves to be a success, it sounds like a good idea 👍
The rain has stopped for now, I’ve put our wet things on an airer to pop outside.
Hope you have a nice afternoon everyone.
  • LB sad to hear your news regarding your neighbour, Jack.  Chive I’m glad you had a good visit with mum.   It’s good to have a catch up.  Hazel Alfie does sometimes seek out cooler places during the warmer weather.    I hope the heat rash is going.  Lily as long as your home and dry when it’s stormy.  Let’s hope we have cooler nights.  Yvie I’m glad your oh is doing well with the speech therapy.    Busy safe journey for you and wish you an enjoyable journey.  I’m glad your test was negative.

Mowing done in time for game No. 16 ;) Front - neat and tidy trim all over. Back - curly paths to provides access all areas without having to watch what I'm treading on! Probably left 50% still growing wild.

Afternoon everyone, the heavens opened and it was a wet play today,
Hazel Sorry to hear the news of your ex work friend, how very sad. Shame about your tomato watering device, back to the drawing board for a redesign. Glad the heat rash has eased for you & the cream is working,
Bluebells Hope you have been able to gain control of your mint now, it is a very persistent plant,
Right I must get a few things done before I get too settled.
    Have a nice afternoon.

Afternoon all, been out gardening as the weather is cooler.  We had rain last night but not sure how much.  I've been digging out ivy roots and weeding so I'm feeling a bit shattered.  Drove Hubby to the supermarket so he could do some shopping and then came home for a cuppa and a good gossip with Bestie.
Sorry to hear about Jack @Ladybird4, hope you find out who they were.
Hazel sad news about your colleague.

Yvie it’s good that you had a trip to the shops with OH .I am not surprised that you are tired after digging ivy roots up .I dug one up a few years ago ,it must have been there over twenty years and the roots and lower stems were so thick it took me the best part of a day with a couple of breaks .
A few photos taken ten minutes ago .sorry I don’t know how to put photos the right way up .

I had a great time at my Bestie's we did indulge in strawberries and ice cream. Got my hair coloured (yay!) and had a good gossip. I have composed a letter for Jack ready to be sent as needed. The man who did the job is coming round (alledgedly!) tomorrow to be shown by Jack's daughter the devastation. After I got back from Bestie's I went across and took 16 pics on my mobile. I let Jack know so he didn't wonder who this odd person was going round his garden taking pictures. Got all the ammo now.
