  • LB and Debs lovely pictures of foxgloves.  They do make quite a statement.  Hazel I love delphiniums.  Chive good to hear fil settled and such a lovely area.  Sad to leave him I know.  Have a good day.  Cooler today not the hot weather anticipated.  I have Lily’s tv and I’m going to make some lunch.  Visited the rellies this morning..  Alfie’s looking like he needs my assistance.

So sorry Debs (and Yvie), I couldn't remember who I'd been talking to about foxgloves. I love those apricot ones Debs.
Chive I am glad you had a nice catch up with your FIL and to hear that he is settled.
Hazel, handy brother is going to do similar to your OH - especially interested in the England v Croatia match. (yay Ante! ). Its still dull and cool here - perfect for my gardening afternoon. Enjoy your pottering.
RosieBB, hope you can get Alfie sorted.

Scorching here now, had my trip to allotment for rhubarb I am planning to make cordial. I don’t like shop bought cordials but home made are usually good, I did elderflower last year and black currant both delicious.
Bit of gardening but too hot to do a lot so waiting until it cools down with a book.
Chive good news about FIL, ante enjoy the football ⚽️.
LB that apricot is gorgeous isn’t it? The white ones I grew from seed are looking happy but no flowers.

Debs, foxgloves are biennials so you probably won't get any flowers in the first year but they should be splendid next year.

Hi folk,  I love foxgloves too.  I grew loads from seed but they all turned out to be comfrey, I was furious.  I do have some in the garden that self seeded from previous years and I did treat myself to 3 larger ones from the garden centre.  This year I bought 24 plug plants so I will grow them on for next year.  More than I could use but my bestie will be there to help me out.  I've been out feeding the pots and veg this morning, did a bit of weeding but I've come in now to cool off a bit and watch the footie.

That’s what I thought LB, any advice on collecting seed from the apricot one I bought? Not tried that before successfully, it’s such a gorgeous shade so would love some more. Advice as in harvesting and sowing I mean, never really done biennials before. My white foxgloves are the first attempt. I bought the seeds for those.

    Afternoon all,

Did some running around a field getting shouted at this morning. It was quite warm and I'm a bit cream-crackered. It's a shame that there wasn't cricket, football and tennis scheduled to be on the TV all day so I could've just collapsed into the comfy armchair for the rest of the day :D  :D  :D

I'm currently watching that game (6 of 51) @Songbird-1. Didn't even realise North Macedonia was a country but I'm keeping my 100% record ;)
