Debs, it will feel like the real beginning of his new career for your Fiancé after he picks up all his bits and bobs from his last place of work.
Chive I forgot to say yesterday that your Mum will have loved being at yours for her lunch. I find that these slight differences to a day - which I've taken for granted in the past - brings extra happiness to my days so I'm sure that's how your Mum will have felt.
Eek Hazel, as if you haven't enough to contend with, your mention of the Dentist says it all. Hope that you'll be able to manage whilst you are away. What joy you must have had with 23. If you don't get chance to look in tomorrow - safe journey and hope all goes well with the decision making.
SGL, what joy you sound to have had too with poppet 3. Jack is fine SGL. Briefly he was taken advantage of by a shady trader - supposed to clean his conservatory and power wash his drive - and instead of which took £450 from him to turn his lovely garden into a mud slide and leave the conservatory grimy and unclean.
    Right, time for a cuppa.

  • Good morning all.  A cooler start to the day.  It feels autumnal this morning.  LB yes Summer Solstice, I’ve been enjoying the lighter nights.  Hazel try and have a rest today after all the activity .  Lovely to be looking for fairies with 23.  I hope you have a good day tomorrow and everything works out with mum.  Lily it sounds like you had a lovely day with poppet and family feeding the ducks.   Debs you’ll be glad to finish earlier today.  Enjoy having your granddaughter visit.

Good morning Dove - you snuckered in there. Hope that golden orb in the sky dries out your garden for you.
Hi RosieBB. Has Alfie woken up yet? Lily is still fast asleep upstairs but her breakfast is out and ready for her when she does decide to grace me with her presence.

I was tiptoeing in case people were still sleeping @Ladybird4 🤫 but I’ve made plenty of coffee for when they wake

Good Morning Debs, LB, Dove from
above & Bluebells and all to follow,
Debs Hope you are feeling recovered from the weekend & work goes swiftly today, enjoy time in your garden later on and have a nice evening with eldest granddaughter,
LB The Summer Solstice is looking rather grey & grim at the moment more showers forecast here. Thank you we were pleased to have mum round, i hope it made a nice change for her. Enjoy time in your garden today,
Dove Enjoy that sunshine while it’s out, hoping it might find its way here again soon,
Bluebells Agree it does feel more Autumnal today, the lighter evenings are nice to enjoy when you can sit out,
Hazel Lovely to hear you had a good time with 23 and family yesterday. I hope all goes to plan today with the last prep for your trip to mums and the mention of dentist is ringing alarm bell! If you don’t get a chance to pop in, will be thinking of you this week. Hope everything works out.
SGL Sounds like you had a wonderful day with poppet 3 going to feed the ducks, makes for a very nice weekend with your family.

  • LB yes Alfie’s up and he’s eating his breakfast at the moment.  I’m glad Lily’s enjoying her snooze.  Tempts you to go back to bed.

Morning Chive. Its very grey and grim here too and not exactly encouraging me to get out in the garden - but I must. I have two more planters to get filled up and I intend to repot my two little lemon trees. Mine have a long way to go to catch up on yours!
RosieBB, don't even put that idea back into my head! Actually, I do have to say that once I am up I'm up and I cannot go back to bed. Probably too frightened I might miss something!

    Morning everyone,
    Raining again!
We had a lovely weekend seeing the family. Hopefully soon we can see them all together.
Aww @Ladybird4 what an awful thing to happen  to Jack. I do hope his garden isn't too damaged and he can somehow get his money back. That seems an awful lot of money to clean a drive and conservatory. Was it a chancer knocking on the door? People like that, taking advantage of older people make me so angry.😡  I know £450 is still a lot of money, but thankfully it wasn't more.
    Have a good day everyone.

Here's a little conundrum (Ante - puzzle) for you. I have a confession to make. When I was in 'sco the other day not only did the little fuchsia and micro hose leap into my trolley but I couldn't resist a box of liquorice allsorts. I haven't bought any of these since dinosaurs roamed the earth. When oh when did they start introducing these:
    ?
Tiny little liquorice Bertie's. Don't wory about the little white bits - these are not dandruff but flakes from the zebra striped varieties. When I found the first one I thought it was just a mis-shaped lump of liquorice. Anyone know when this first occurred? I'm very curious. Now begins the jelly baby question. Do I bite off his head or his feet first?
