Evening everyone, it’s been so lovely today compared to the grey chilly weather we’ve had recently,
Bluebells Hope you’re winning with those weeds, they always grow well don’t they 😀
LB Thank you it was nice to see mum, no cake but plenty of tea & chat. Sorry to hear about the rain arriving, hope it’s not going to stop you getting out tomorrow, Goodnight.
Rubee Sensible to tackle that box root bit by bit, hope everything is ok with OH’s BP results tomorrow🤞Goodnight,
Busy Try and take it easy, you’ll be doing yourself a mischief you haven’t stopped. One of those V pillows might be good for OH after the op, good neck support when sleeping on his back,
Yvie That is brilliant news about OH driving, sounds like you’re all ready for your holiday it’ll do you both good to have a nice break away,
Hope the day has gone well for Hazel,
    Signing out too, Goodnight everyone.

Whispering good morning from beneath the eaves of a stone cottage, listening to a songthrush in the churchyard and jackdaws on the steeple … very close to John Clare’s family home … the church clock has just chimed 7 o’clock and the kettle is on … idyllic …

A very good morning Dove and all to arrive later.
Well there's loads of Marti again so that could curtail the gardening. No Bestie visit today. I do feel sorry for her and her gang on holiday. Germany got lucky last night Biglad. Tell you what, I caught a glimpse of that game as I channel hopped last night and it was HEAVING it down. I felt sorry for everyone watching and participating. Might have to turn on the lights its so dark.

p.s. @Biglad apparently the psychic seagull has predicted that England will beat Germany in a penalty shoot out! It must be true because its in The Daily Star

Good morning Ruby and Chive. Ruby, it could be a knitting day today unless there is an improvement.
Chive, that video is absolutely delightful. Thank you for sharing it. It is such a cheery sight seeing all those little bumblies working so hard.

Further developments on the Jack story have bought a big surprise. I heard from Trading Standards, and whilst they were sympathetic they said that it was a Civil Case and not one that they could deal with and they gave me the number of the Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline to pass on to Jack and his daughter. This was duly done. The lady who emailed me also said that my comments have been recorded and should they receive any further complaints about that company they may use the information I sent to them to take further action. I thought that was the end of it all but I then received another email from the same lady on the Council asking me if I would consider joining the National Scam Marshalls Project as my pro-active response in Jack's case had not gone unnoticed. To cut a long story short I am now Scam Marshall number 1996. I will be getting an information pack with all the details and I will be made aware of various scams etc. I'll let you have more information as I get it. They did say that the pack may take a little while to get to me because of the various restrictions.
