Morning Debs. Hope that it does stay dry for you and for the wedding party where your Fiancé is catering. I keep thinking about the gang including a brother and his son who are caravanning in the Lakes and hoping they get chance for a good long walk today.
I was impressed with the way the menopause was tackled on Breakfast TV some months back. I just sailed through mine with no adverse effects at all. I blinked and I missed it.

    Good morning 😊
Do you have to come up this way for your test @Busy-Lizzie … shall we stand on a bridge with a banner and wave as you go underneath? 😆 👋

    Good morning all.
    I think we'll bypass you @Dovefromabove, but it's north of you.  :)

I had a horrid menopause. First OH died when I was 47, periods stopped. Doc gave me a blood test, it was shock not the menopause, but hot flushes and all the rest happened a couple of years later. Doc gave me HRT. It was brilliant, made me feel fit and well and stopped the aches I had in my hip and knee for a good 10 years. Then I changed Doc and new Doc said I must come off it as I'd been on it for 15 years. Hot flushes came back but not as badly.

Morning everyone, have woken up to a big round yellow thing in the sky. Hope it stays, forecast is a bit of a mixture for the next few days.
Hoping for some time in the garden, the weeds have appeared around the courgettes and dwarf beans after all the rain.
I have one sweet pea in flower! 😂
Enjoy your week off @debs64 hope the weather is kind to you.
@Busy-Lizzie hope all goes well with your covid test. Have your V pillows arrived yet?
Time for a cup of tea ☕☕

I too apparently sailed through with no effects but recently have been suffering from anxiety and mood swings very similar to those I endured with PMT so have booked a blood test and I am looking into HRT. I have many friends suffering a difficult menopause at the moment and I am shocked at the lack of informed care available considering 51% of the population will be or are being affected. A lot more research needs to be done into the effects of hormones on everyone, they seem to affect all of us a lot more than we realise. Men and women.

The GP who prescribed mine was in France, a French woman. She was very informative and took time to explain. I had a horse (a much cheaper thing to do in France, lots of land and cheap hay) and she said the hormones help to prevent osteoporosis so I would be less likely to break something if I fell off. She was very thorough with check ups. She's retired now. The man I had afterwards always seemed too busy to be thorough.

Good Morning Dove, Busy, Rubee & SGL,
Dove Glad you made it home safely and had a nice time with MIL,
Busy Hope you are feeling better after resting yesterday, the treats will have helped too 😋
Rubee Hope you can get out in the garden today and it’s not too wet,
SGL Nice to see a Sweet pea flower, what colour do you have?
It’s very difficult to gauge Debs I’m going through the menopause now and so far so good OH may disagree 😬 With everything you have been through in recent years, it’s understandable it would impact on your well being. It won’t hurt to check things out.
    Have a nice day everyone.
