@Chivetalking I sympathise as we have to clear the dining room in preparation for a new floor. I have two ceiling height bookshelves filled with books to clear, amongst other things , and I am not sure whether they will cope with being moved again. What a nuisance! Good luck with yours
  • LB I fell asleep but Italy v Austria were in extra time when I nodded off.   I hope Italy scored.   Lily it looks like it could rain here too.  Chive I have Lily’s tv on at the moment.  I hope young chive is okay after his 1st vaccination.  Fingers crossed.  I hope all goes okay emptying the lounge.  You’ll be glad when it’s over and you can put your things back and admire the carpet.   Debs it’s amazing how many books we can collect over time.  I hope all goes well.

Hello all. Back from rellie visiting which was fun and full of family news and gossip. This is not really family as such but my sister-in-law's sister's daughter (work that one out ancestry studiers!) had a much longed for tiny baby girl on 23rd. She is called Freya. Lots of fun to look forward to. A shock of black hair (I've only seen pictures) and 5lb 10oz on arrival.
The caravanners haven't returned as yet but I was given duff gen by handy brother. They were nowhere near the Lakes but went to a site in the Peak District called Ashbourne Heights. I've had a little squiz and it looks very nice indeed. Brother number 2 will need a week to recover I think.
Debs, it started off sunny here first thing but soon went overcast and a chill wind has whipped up. I am going to do some baking today and I will be making a chicken curry. Have a lovely time with your rellies. Bright pink sweet peas with a divine smell, what more could you ask for?
Chive I do hope that young Chive doesn't have any adverse effects from his vaccination. You have my best wishes for clearing your living room. The thought of having to do that at mine makes me blanch! I would feel like saying - just fit the carpet round the furniture - can you imagine???
RosieBB, are you watching the footie today? Two matches. I reckon that's Biglad and SGL's OH sorted. I wonder if Hazel and her OH will get back in time to catch at least one of the matches. Never mind, we have Wimbledon starting tomorrow.

Other racquets are available. Ruby, have you managed to get into your garden? I've been down to my GH and all is fine there. There is a young blackbird in the garden so I'm keeping Lily amused indoors with treats.

Afternoon All, just having a tea break,
Thanks Debs, hope all goes well with yours when the time comes it’s a daunting prospect 😩 fortunately our large wall unit has permanently gone since decorating, so the job is not nearly so bad this time,
Thank you Bluebells fingers crossed🤞 Hope you can get your wet things dry today,
LB Thank you, he is having a chilled day now. Ashbourne Heights rings a bell, our first holiday with young chive as a baby was to Derbyshire lovely place to visit. Congratulations to your SIL’s, sisters daughters new arrival Freya 🎊 😊
Tea break over. Have a good afternoon everyone.

Love the name Freya @Ladybird4 one of our poppets was almost called that, but a friend of theirs beat them to it.  My eldest son is searching our family tree. Has only been looking for about a month, but has got quite a way back.
Still drizzling here, but not cold.
OH will be watching the footie 😂
I'm not a fan of tennis, especially the grunting 😩 Will probably rain for awhile now 🤦🏻‍♀️

I had ten minutes in the garden LB . It’s very windy outside .Hope all goes well with jabs that have been done .
I am pondering what to plant in the big planter that I have at the top of the garden .I have several options waiting in smaller pots .
I really wouldn’t like to move the furniture in my sitting room . It has a lot of furniture including two large book cases and I like all my craft stuff within my reach when I am sitting down .moving it all out would be a nightmare .
Forgot to say ,love the name Freya LB .

    Afternoon all,
Bit of a mixed bag here today but no rain :( I've managed to do a couple of hours in the garden with not a great deal to report. Bit of weeding, bit of pruning. When I split my rhubarb (last November) into 6 plants and dotted them around, I've put a couple far too close to other goodies :o . I know I'm not supposed to be harvesting them whilst they establish, but I've had to take a few sticks to take the mahoosive leaves out of the equation. Their neighbours will be grateful to emerge from under the canopy!

Oh, and great excitement - a few of my blackcurrants (Ebony) are no longer green :) First time growing them so it's all brand new to me.

I'm watching the cricket (Eng v India) as a warm-up to the two football games later. Might squeeze a run in somewhere. Also looking forward to Wimbledon for the next fortnight. What a time to be jobless :D:D:D

What are your options for the big planter Ruby? Just being nosey
Biglad, my brother-in-law will be a tad disappointed. He was at Twickenham yesterday for the Gallagher Premiership Rugby Final and today he was driving up to Leicester on his way home to watch the England A v Scotland A match but that has been cancelled due to some of the Scottish team testing positive for Covid. He and my sis will be going to the matches at Twickenham against the USA on July 4th and Canada on July 10th.
