Shame about Roger Federer's opponent, Adrian Mannarino who had to retire through injury. He was looking a real threat until he skidded and fell, twisting his knee.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Haven't watched any sport today, wonder what that result was. I've been out a lot, now that I can.
I hope your back is easing @Songbird-1. Lovely rose, has it got a name?
I went a bit mad in the GCs this morning and bought a lot of plants, but I have found spaces for all in the garden, not planted yet. I bought a Clematis "Super Nova" which I haven't seen before, Group 3, also a purple phlox, lavender Hidcote, red Gaillardia, aconite, foxglove Illumination, a bright pink and purple dahlia with a yellow centre, a dark red scabious, Laurentia, Penstemon Garnet, Ajuga, a small pink erodium, a campanula carpatica and a parahebe catarractae and 3 bags of potting compost. OH had given me £50 for plants but I'm afraid I spent the same again.
OH had his ECG at the GPs' surgery. It was better than the one at the hospital but there was still a slight abnormality. They are sending it to a cardiologist.
Then we went to Sainsbury's to stock up on food. Then we went to one of our favourite pubs where I had half a pint of cider and OH had a pint of Adnams bitter. I booked a table for lunch tomorrow. Haven't done that since before Covid.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Oh no! Now Serena has had to retire injured. That court must be jinxed.
Handy brother is a happy bunny too SGL.
Goodness me Busy, have you actually left any stock at the GC? You have got a wonderful collection there but just pace yourself when you are planting them out. You have a nice meal to look forward to as well.
Six of we quizzers are going out to lunch on Friday to a restaurant called The Fishermens Rest. It has had visits from Clark Gable and Frank Sinatra in the 30's and 40's and is a real ale pub. I have never been before but have heard rave reviews about it and the menu is huge. I am looking foward to going there.

Good morning my friends. Just finished watering my front garden. I'm struggling with drought, forty days without rain and it's so hot. I'm afraid that my potatoes will not survive if we don't get rain in next few days. How are you all? Last ten days I wasn't here so often so I hope that you are all well. Now I deserve a cup of tea. Today I don't have any obligation, so I'll sta at home.
