Happy birthday to Poppet for Saturday @star gaze lily. The V pillows are comfy but do you have any tips on how to get the cases on them? I have arthritis in my fingers and it took 10 minutes to put one case one and it still isn't quite on.
I don't watch sport often, unless it involves horses (but not racehorses) which is hardly shown any more. However, I ended up watching Andy last night and got quite excited.
Oh dear @Biglad, what a sad little plant, horrid slimies.

White rabbits x 3. Welcome July. Rubee and LB I’m glad Andy pulled through in the end. Well done Andy. Biglad exhausting match to watch. Ante your flowers from your garden are beautiful. Chive I’m glad your carpet is fitted and things are back in place. Good that young Chive is okay. LB great that your Dahlia rooted and buds.
Lily I hope poppet has a lovely birthday on Saturday. Hazel like you I was late getting up today. I love Canterbury bells, good choice. Enjoy the rest of your day. I’ve some more weeding to do and bag up. A sunny day today. Biglad I hope your not overdoing it. Time for a cuppa.
Busy i love my V pillows ,but It is a struggle to get it into the case ,I give myself plenty of time . I hold one side of the pillow and slot it as far down on one side as I can ,then I stuff (unceremoniously) the other side into the slip and push the pillow around inside the case until it is in position.
Forgot to say You were right LB I was outside gardening very early .
Afternoon everyone, the sun is out again so we are relaxing in the garden for awhile. @Busy-Lizzie I do have a couple of V pillowcases with a very fine zip in them and they are easier to get on. Can't remember where I got those from, but the others just have a opening at one end and are a bit of a struggle to get on. I just take it slow and rearrange once fully on. The V pillows are really comfy and so useful. @Songbird-1 Poppet is having a few friends round Friday after school. We are going Saturday and she's seeing her other grandparents on Sunday, so a stretched out birthday celebration 😂 Love Canterbury Bells, your garden sounds absolutely beautiful Hazel.
Busy my V shaped pillow slips open in the middle of the v and have snap fastenings. Lily’s sound much easier .Canterbury Bells always remind me of my grandma, she really loved them and every time I see them or hear about them brings back lovely memories of helping my grandma in her garden when I was small.
I now have a good tip for putting on V shaped pillow cases - get OH to do it!
@Songbird-1, I've just bought 2 of those Gaillardias and I bought a Takion Blue Campanula last year which has been flowering its socks off.
I realised that I needed a couple more plants so OH came to the GC with me. I also bought some birthday cards. The GC had beautiful cards, the French ones are expensive rubbish, but they are getting better. Then we stopped off at another nice pub, had a beer and sausage rolls and booked a table for lunch next week.

Hi folks, We have come home early. We were not due to return until Saturday but to be honest I've been struggling with my back after the long journey down and this morning decided I'd had enough. We had a lovely time but it's nice to be home and I'll be sorting out some physio as soon as I can.

Think this French marigold has served its purpose
Another beautiful day here. Off to train shortly and then an afternoon of graft in sister's garden.
Not much tennis-watching for me today, unfortunately.
I'm glad young Chive is well @Chivetalking.
