I know all the seaside towns beginning with B merge together @Dovefromabove , but think you said Wonky was off to Brighton.  If it really is Bournemouth then I’ll get Chicklet to give her a warm welcome.

Glad to hear you have made it safely @Busy-Lizzie. We drove home from Hereford yesterday in the dry, mostly,  & that was enough for me.  Mind you travelling west to east is always harder than N to South, etc the road network is nowhere near as good.

Oh ‘eck … did I say Bournemouth … I was talking the other day to a friend about being taken on holiday to Bournemouth when I was a toddler … I’ve obviously got Bournemouth on my brain. No … step-Womble lives the Hove end of Brighton.

I once saw a flyer for a restaurant and it had " Hove actually" on the address.

Meant to show this earlier.  It's a sculpture on display outside the Cathedral,  it features knives from a knife amnesty.  I think it may be touring round to different places.  Quite powerful I think.  Sorry don't know why it's sideways.

I don't know when or where it started, but I was born in Brighton and it was always in the script for the panto at the Theatre Royal (when they weren't tooooo posh to have a pantomime there) -

So glad you're safely in Norfolk @Busy-Lizzie, I was thinking of you yesterday. Time to put your feet up and relax while in quarantine perhaps - with a glass or two (or more!)to celebrate being back with your OH. I expect he's got thinner as he missed your cooking.
It has rained ever since 9 ish this morning so no gardening apart from dragging some big pots out from under the eaves to benefit from rainwater.
Cleaned my silver jewellery for wont of something else to do and must get round to the ironing sometime.
We very much liked Herefordshire @Allotment Boy when we had a holiday there a few years back. We did the tour of the black and white villages and a garden or two -Hergest? OH was also researching his family history there.
Didn't know you'd had a hip op @Hostafan1, did it work well for you? OH's getting quite worried in case he has to have one. He's never been in hospital overnight before.
Right, will finish my cuppa and tackle the ironing. Fortunately housework's postponed until after the new carpets have been laid. :)

Oh 'eck ... dear niece at uni in Portsmouth has been in contact to say that her closest friend who's at here at the UEA may have had a mini-stroke ... she's been to the hospital but they don't seem too concerned and have sent her back to her uni flat with her flatmate.

Niece is really worried ... can she give her friend our number? ... well, of course she can ... but I've told her to get in touch with the UEA welfare/medics or whatever they have and let them know what's happened ... not a lot else we can do at the moment but we're here if her friend rings ...
