Is this site now funded by Dyson? :o

Suddenly there are 3 irritating boxes on my screen that I don't know how to shift :(

I wouldn't mind but I'm not entirely certain that I'm their target audience ;)

So sorry to hear OH’s op has been put back @Busy-Lizzie …..i know how you both have been counting the days.  Really hope it gets back on track very soon 🤞🏻.

Back from Edinburgh- had a wonderful time.  It really is a beautiful city, and we did much exploring (walked 14 miles the first day 😝).  The sun mostly shone on us, and we got up Arthur’s Seat and out to the Royal Yacht Brittania.  Holyrood palace was closed, but that had its upsides.  Yesterday, as we were ambling past Waverley station we noticed a bit of a kerfuffle so we stopped to find out what was what. 5 minutes later the Queen drove past - looking radiant and smiley in a beautiful blue suit.  First time I have ever seen her IRL ……so I was thrilled 👑👑👑.

Today is the day I finally get my summer pots planted ….. really behind this year coz of swotting and exams.  Hopefully they will fill out quickly 🌸🌼🌸

Well, at least it didn't go off @Dovefromabove!

Lovely photo @chicky, glad you enjoyed Edinburgh.

I'm sorry about your knee @Obelixx, good luck with the infiltrations, they sound most unpleasant.

I keep getting those awful Dyson ads too @Biglad, pain in the backside.

I had a lovely time at the GCs. I bought lots of plants, so much choice of perennials and so big and in such good condition compared with French GCs. I bought a Clematis "Super Nova" which I haven't seen before, Group 3, also a purple phlox, lavender Hidcote, red Gaillardia, aconite, foxglove Illumination, a bright pink and purple dahlia with a yellow centre, a dark red scabious, Laurentia, Penstemon Garnet, Ajuga, a small pink erodium, a campanula carpatica and a parahebe catarractae and 3 bags of potting compost. OH had given me £50 for plants but I'm afraid I spent the same again.

Good haul!   I have a clem Super Nova @Busy-Lizzie, planted about 2 years ago.  Underwhelming so far but I find some clems take 2 or 3 years to get settled so maybe this will be its year.  I have it growing up a rigid wire mesh fence with a Malvern Hills rose which is very happy so fingers crossed.

    Afternoon folks,
That sounds like a smashing morning out @Busy-Lizzie, you're going to be busy! Any news on OH's cardiac test?
Your knee sounds very painful @Obelixx and the infiltrations even worse, so commiserations. OH's knee is no better or perhaps even worse despite regular physio and all the exercises he's been doing. We'll know more after his hip x-ray on Thursday.
Glad you enjoyed your Edinburgh trip @chicky, it's years since we stayed there and has probably changed somewhat. Exciting to see the Queen as well.
After our usual walk this morning, I've been stripping beds, washing the sheets and gradually emptying out the spare bedrooms - the bath is now full and so is the loft office/2nd sitting room upstairs.
I'm fast running out of room. Realized the headboards and wardrobe top boxes ought to come off as well. Better get on with it now.

I know!  How many years has that been there I wonder?  We were going to call in to the Council offices today to pick up some tourist leaflets to distribute around the place but no go today!
