Sounds like a fun trip @Allotment Boy.  I have a garden visit with Perennial booked - but it’s just been postponed from July 1st to an unspecified date in the future.  But when I finally get to go then I hope it will be good.  Perennial are a great charity - I know them quite well as I helped them pioneer their zoom offering of speakers for garden clubs.

Hmmm.... the weather in Kensington doesn't look brilliant for this afternoon ...  :/

Thanks @chicky, yes this trip was postponed from last year,  we are supposed to be going to Scotland with them in July.  This trip was just the first of a number of things we had planned for last year (not just with them of course). It was great to get away at last and feel a bit of normal life again.  I don't envy @Busy-Lizzie her drive,  ours was Minor but it's still the most we have done in over a year.

Hi everyone,  murky day here, looks like it's going to rain, if not I'll have to go out and water this evening.  I've just planted out the last of the cosmos and ammi majus.  Still have a few snapdragons to get in but it will be a bit of a squeeze to find space for them.  Not sure what to do with myself this afternoon fancy going out but Hubby doesn't want to and I'm not leaving him on his own yet.
Hope everyone is OK, especially @Busy-Lizzie don't envy her that drive.

It's raining on and off,but I don't mind. I spent nearly 3 hours cooking for grandsons birthday tomorrow, kitchen window wide open. I wouldn't have been able to cope with the heat of the previous few days. Just having a breather, then assembling cake, Xbox and controller.

Perennial gave me some money, back in the day , when I was having my major hip surgery and had no income.
We've visited York Gate, their original garden ( I think ) near Leeds.Lovely

    Hello all.
I've arrived in Norfolk, great to see OH, but he looks thinner and lamer. He's bought smoked salmon and fillet steak for dinner. I hope there's wine, hardly had any since he left 3 1/2 months ago.

The journey was fairly horrendous, torrential rain up to Tours then just rain. Some of it wasn't too bad after that as the French have a motorway surface on some of the motorways that seems to stay dry in the rain so there's no spray. I slept about 6 hours on the ferry with one trip to the loo halfway. That was something I'd worried about as I usually find it hard to sleep on ferries. The bit from Portsmouth to Norfolk wasn't much fun either as heavy rain with a lot of spray from the lorries. Some parts of the motorways, especially M25, had speed limits of 50mph and flood warnings, but sometimes there were huge puddles with no warnings.

Anyway, I'm here now, quarantine for 10 days and 2 more Covid tests.

The garden looks fine but wet and rain bashed.

Good to know you're here @Busy-Lizzie (waving at you from here!!!) ... Wonky and her husband are going in the opposite direction down to Bournemouth today ... I don't envy them that drive in this weather, but they're both steady drivers and the car was checked over yesterday so they'll be ok.   B)

Great news that you have arrived @Busy-Lizzie.  You will have driven past our village (just off the A3 before you go through the tunnel).  And so lovely that you and OH are together again.  Fingers crossed all goes well with his op - not long to wait now.  I’ve known people who have had it done and it has transformed their life 👍🏻
