Morning folks, sorry to hear your news,B L,my hubby(,not so bad now) for many years suffered anxiety attacks, agrophobia, and white coat syndrome. A nightmare when he was an inpatient. He had a trapped kidney stone, they couldn't operate, because of this. Yesterday morning, batch cook, off to my disabled son, call from no 2 daughter,3 days post first Phizer, collapsed at work. She did a lateral flow test just to be sure. Then I did her click and collect, sorted out kids, she had to stay in bed. Will assess today, she how she is.
@tui34 I remembered you saying that today is St Pierre’s feast day so we’re having fish for supper … no John Dory in the freezer tho’ … we’ll be having roasted ray wing with tomatoes, capers, broad beans and parsley with a lemon vinaigrette, and new potatoes from the garden 😋

You’re very welcome … shall we watch the tennis or the footie … or shall we keep flicking back and forth? Whichever it is, we’ll probably need several bottles … and we can commiserate with/console with the French at the same time 😉 👍

Morning all, I completely agree @Dovefromabove, not sure if I can cope with 2 weeks of tennis at this rate. We have tickets for Thursday, courtesy of OH'S brother, he seems to get tickets every year, but as he lives in Somerset now he will only come up if he gets a ticket to a big match. Anyway we didn't argue.
Oooh enjoy yourself @Busy-Lizzie ... have you a wish list or are you going to just grab whatever takes your fancy?
@Allotment Boy hope you get a good match to watch ... I don't suppose those with tickets for the first day expected quite so much excitement on Centre Court yesterday

We have had a wet start this morning following on form a wet night and a wet Monday. Fine by me as there's a bed I want to weed but can't get in without it first having a good soaking. It's a hot dry bed and sets like concrete and I want those weed roots easy to shift.
However, the stupid knee is giving me bovver so maybe an indoor day after all sorting out Possum's stuff for when her furniture and contents arrive next week. After yesterday's patch club meeting I have a yen to sew too. Not done any for months. I have knee infiltrations booked for the 1st, 8th and 15th. Loads of fun. The needle he uses first to draw off fluid feels big enough to stick a microchip in.
Not watching tennis or football or cycling so no stress here. OH knows better than to expect any interest from this quarter. He's off playing in an inter-club golf match at Saumur today so will be back late and miss this evening's footie.
Enjoy your visit to the GC @Busy-Lizzie. Sorry about OH but really, why do these surgeon chappies not take white coat syndrome into account and plan for it? It's not rare! So inefficient cancelling ops for lack of prep.

Another cool morning - breezy. It's almost like Spring weather. Cool nights and hot days. Weird. Summer will be July August and September!
Hope to hear from DD how the judging went!

Est pour trente jours dangereux
Mais si la journée est sain
Elle annonce une année sereine
No rain in sight!

Grey and damp outside, puddles on the road.
The last football match I watched all through was in 1966. If England win tonight I may end up watching another one.
Well done Andy and well done Jack Draper for winning a set from Djokovic.
I'm off to the GC, maybe 2 GCs, after breakfast. Haven't been to an English GC for a year, thanks to Covid. Excited.

More blue skies and sunshine here. Forecast says dry until Sunday after the overnight visit from Marti.
Another day of sport is going to keep me away from the gardening 'to do' list though
