It is d-fab. He's been my dentist for my entire adult life and his father was for my childhood. We followed the same football team, shared similar views on many things and always had a good chat at my appointments.

:D I don't think I could manage that on the scrawny Shauns that dine on my roses @Hostafan1 ;)

Good luck in the city and at the dentist @Dovefromabove!  @Pat E - you are making me shiver just as I am willing the sun to come out from behind the clouds.
Morning patrol yielded a lily beetle or two or three - and some eggs - on all but one of my four clumps of lilies. Two of them were mating. Shocking! But very obliging of them to be bright red and highly visible.

@Hostafan1 I've been telling you for years to get some sheep for your park  ;)

@Biglad how do you chat to a dentist?  Mine talks to me, but it's impossible to say anything back when he's got his fingers in my mouth ...

We've had sheep for 2 summers, but they eat just the tips and trample the grass flat and walk in single file so leave tracks / trenches by the end of summer

You didn't tell me!!!  The things you get up to when we don't visit ... did I tell you I've a Certificate in Lambing and Castration ... (amongst other things).

If they're not keeping the grass down you haven't got enough sheep.
