Just heard a heron ā€˜krarking’ overhead ... leapt out of bed but couldn’t see it ...

    Morning all.

I must do some weeding today as it's going to get very warm later this week. 30° forecast for Saturday.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Same for us d-fab. Their drive is very close to eldest's room so if her window is open, with the exhaust running approx. 5-6m away, it wakes her up and, if the breeze is in the wrong direction :s

I'm fairly certain that he doesn't need to run the engine every two days on both his cars to avoid a mechanical catastrophe anyway :oĀ

No problems with early starters here, but lots of midnight etc. revving and tyres squealing. 😔 It’s not unusual to find a slaughtered animal on the road.Ā

Yes Dove, no native foxes here, just the ones that were imported for ā€œsportā€. Grrr.Ā

    Oh dear @Pat E šŸ˜žĀ

Today involves an outing ... I’m going to the dentist for the first time since Autumn ā€˜19 😲. It will also be the first time I’ve been ā€˜into the city’ since Jan ā€˜20 !!!Ā

OH is coming with me and he’ll take my watch to get a new battery fitted while I’m at the dentist’s. Ā Much excitement šŸ˜‚Ā

That reminds me - I don't think I've been to the dentist for a similar length of time either. Sadly, my dentist committed suicide last summer so I suspect the practice is very different now :(Ā
