Well they're dead tomorrow. Months of nurture and two true leaves on some. If they were perennials,I'd endeavour to persevere . But they're not and anyway they look like Michaelmas daisies and I don't like them. Serves me right for sowing magazine freebies. However, some freebie potentiillas and big white nicotiana are doing very nicely thank you
@Yviestevie google the ceo of the company and send them an email. I had issues with DFS and after I did that they couldn’t do enough for me. I even got a hamper of goodies.
I got angry after hitting my head hard on a partly closed supermarket front door once. Long story but the security guard and certain staff had a habit of half closing the roller blind door to speed up closing. That evening I was leaving half an hour before closing and turned to double check if not left anything and also because I didn't think my till receipt read right. I remembered why n it was more than expected so turned back to see the door at about 6' high. That's 5" less than my height. I ducked last minute but got a kind of top of the head hit with a whiplash type injury.
I went home and started an angry but calm email. Someone I spoke to sent me the supermarket's MD email. I sent it to that email copied the local manager's email too. I then calmed down and forgot about it. Two days later I got an email from the regional manager with an apology and saying he'd look into it to make sure it didn't happen again. Week later branch manager emailed asking me to make myself known to a member of staff next time I went there so they could log the incident. She said it was not the first time something like that happened with the guard, no shoot it very nearly happened a couple of times to me with a member of staff doing it too. One time I complained about it. Basically she said that she couldn't get rid of the guy without a formal health and safety log of the incident. Reading between the lines she needed my complaint to sack the guy cleanly without any comeback.
Anyway I'd forgotten about it by be the time I got those emails. I'd calmed down and despite still having a bad neck pain I didn't want anyone to lose the job over it. He was gone though within a month and that door has stayed open until after the last customer has left ever since.
Now the manager wanted him sacked but without the email to the MD's office I doubt there would have been such a quick response. Definitely find the MD's office email and send it to that or copy it seen sending to a manager. It does get results.
I'm not going to spam up the Astroturf threads again but some genius dumped a load of rubbish in a local fly-tipping hotspot and covered the whole lot with some manky old plastic grass to hide it all. Literally sweeping it under the carpet but probably the most polite fly tipping I've ever seen.

B3, you had to Google Owen Wilson!! He's aged well.we had 2 lots of sofas ( phone just changed that to dogs, took grandkids on the pier yesterday, there was a sign for sale"do you want the best chair in the house, then throw the dog off") from DFS very pleased with them,so was the snooty woman from Plumbs who came to measure for covers. We desided to treat ourselves to new coffee takes last year.one was found in a skip the other a charity shop, but was too big. Friend recommended. Oak Furniture, looked at it,it was so badly made. So DFS,made to order,THEN came lockdown. Am very pleased with it though
I wouldn't have known who Owen Wilson was had you asked, but I know the advert Dove was referring to - I find him really creepy But then, as you say, wouldn't do if we were all the same.

Duckweed has appeared in my pond. I don't mind duckweed but I'm not sure if I should try and fish it all out now while it's manageable or just let it go nuts and just treat it as compost fodder. It might help block the light and suppress the blanket weed but it would also kill off the other underwater plants I imagine. It would also mask the appearance of the water which might lead an unwary toddler to try and walk on it (again). One of the local garden centres has a great creepy sculpture emerging from their duckweed so maybe I need one of those to frighten the kids away.

During lockdown the canal near is at the time had a big growth of duckweed. Once it starts to take over it's not good. When the boats could move again it caused problems. Usually boat movements stopped it taking over.
