Maybe it's my age, but there are certain things that I consider to be bad form to share with a stranger or a casual acquaintance: sexuality, financial situation, religion, and any isms whatsoever.
B3,you forgot to add political opinions to that list. Same here, but some things are easier did discussed with relative strangers, like various sorts of therapists. I have met several people on real live life, that I chatted to on here, discovered we had a huge amount in common, not just the gardening. My ex ,never mind poor husband,he was a liar, misogynistic, cruel, psychopath. He told me he went to Public school, turns out he was in Borstal for trying to kill his Father.
Racism is best left out with me even if I know you well. Don't like it, don't stand for it among people I know. Not all isms should exist.
Saw a good meme. Two teenagers sat on the floor or grass together looking at books. One obviously Muslim be of clothing choice and book with Islamic crescent, the other white and Christian because of cross on book. The comments were "you're going to he'll!", with the response as they're pointing at a passage in one book was, "OMG! So are you! "
That digression amused me because they were lighte hearted about it and because it made me think that the issues relate to people with very strong views about something. If you're a strong Christian you might oppose the idea that homosexuality is acceptable. If you're strongly conservative you oppose gender self determinism.
I admit in life matters I'm conservative but I don't oppose the pronoun, gender or sexuality matters I just don't get it. If that's you great! I've simply got no reference point in my experience to understand it fully. Never met a they, openly gay or a he-she. I think without a personal reference point through knowing someone or talking to someone it really is hard for conservative thinking to grasp and accept. I do not think that should be cause for activism against.
@NorthernJoe. How ironic, it would be if all the religious bigots ended up in the same place😂
It would indeed be preferable to them making life a hell on Earth for the rest of us. 😠
Indeed so. Religion is the cause of many of the world's problem, but is the solution to none of them. If any religion has been shown to be immune from Covid, I'll start praying to their god.
an image, video, piece of text, etc., typically humorous in nature, that is copied and spread rapidly by internet users, often with slight variations. @Nanny Beach The ones about Rees Mogg lying on the bench in parliament are good examples.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
The first, putting out his hand, announced his name, “Christian.”
The second, returning the handshake, said, “Muslim.”
