Slow roast shoulder of lamb here, slathered in a blitz of coriander, thyme, basil, garlic and anchovies with just enough olive oil to make it spreadable.  Celeriac sliced thin and baked in thin cream and Savoy cabbage and the last of the PSB from the garden.   Probably Rioja but maybe a Moroccan Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot.  Possum is doing a lemony pudding.   Sunday is never a thin day.

Had planned a lovely potter in the garden this afternoon but had a snoozle instead so have contented myself with some watering of pots and babies and making a cane wigwam for the sweet peas in the big pot on the terrace.   They've suddenly started growing a few cms a day.

    Afternoon.

Just done the second dash of the day to bring the washing in and I can see the sun coming back again. Oh well - it’s nearly dry so it can go on the racks now.

Potted-on a few plants today and I will have plenty of tomato plants left over, so the work girls have reserved some of those. Sown a couple of varieties of Rudbekia today - they will look good mixed in my ‘zingy’ corner (oranges, yellows and lime green) with some existing ones.

I hope you have all had a plesant day. Chicken with lemon and herb crust tonight 😋 - must be all eaten, cleared away etc. before good TV later.

I had a lovely day with Son2 and family. 5th one is due early June. They are sweet children, 7yrs old and younger so very close in age, fun to play with. Smallest wouldn't eat her lunch unless I sat next to her, very flattering! It was a lovely day, but not hot, we wore jumpers and had roast chicken for lunch in the garden.

That must have done you a power of good @Busy-Lizzie.   4 kids below 8 plus a bump sounds like a handful.   Jumpers here too once the wind got up this pm and looks like we'll need them all week.  No more frosts expected tho.

@AuntyRach I sowed 2 trays of "zingy" and so far I have 2 nasturtiums about 2cm high and one more which may be a BC dahlia or may be a cosmos sulphureum.  Depends which way round the tray is now and a bit more patience needed till some true leaves appear.

We've had a lovely day out as well, mixed with a bit of sadness in the churchyard.
Went well prepared for outdoor lunch in the pub garden with three layers on, extra thick fleeces and blankets, but thankfully the latter not needed. Watched a couple of Red Kites during lunch - smashing sight.  I love driving up on the old A4, quite busy going up, quieter on return journey.

Glad everyone enjoyed their day, pity you picked up a cold somewhere Punkdoc.

    Evening all.
    Home from work early.
Hubby was getting agitated about " what time are you coming home" so they let me come away early.
He's ok now that I'm home.
Congratulations on the Hosta @Allotment Boy, looking forward to pics.
All you boozers with your wine/ cider.
