We nearly had a bluetit fly in through the open bedroom window this morning ... it perched on the ledge, peered in through the gap and then thought better of it ... couldn't see it that clearly as it was silhouetted against a bright sky, so Im not sure whether it was a parent looking desperately for little spiderlings to feed nestlings, or whether it was a recently fledged youngster just learning about the world.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    Morning all,

Run done :)  Lovely weather for it. Showered, coffee in hand and off to collect some goodies for garden projects.

Morning all you early birds, and those to come. Don't know about Eid being tonight,  there were fireworks going on round here last night!
Interesting we had a Robin behaving oddly in the front garden yesterday, it spent most of the day,  spread eagled on a low wall. It did move about a bit,  then later had just disappeared.
@Pat E  yes, I usually save the large potatoes to use at Christmas and new year, when we are catering for  large numbers of family,  less peeling,  and we can prepare them quickly.  Christmas didn't happen of course,  so we are using them up now, one at a time!

    Afternoon Forkers.
My chiropractic appoinment went well. My neck is a bit easier. 👏👏

I took another photo of the river when we got home. It’s really running hard and filling up.

Very happy with it.   We are due for a minus 4 on the weekend.  Lucky we’ve got the wood burner set up.

    Morning all.

Beautiful photo @Pat E Lovely blue sky. One for the jigsaw site?

The builder was supposed to come and lay the floor tiles in the study and utility room today but yet another delay. The tiles arrive this evening instead of last night and it's a bank holiday tomorrow.

Seems chilly this morning, have lit the stove. Very grey outside.

Good idea BusyL.  I’ll set it up on the jigsaw planet site, now.  😁

  • @Allotment Boy .. unless there was some other occasion, I do know some people celebrate the confirmation  of Eid date -  I guess once they knew there was no moon sighting last night that confirms it starts tonight -- as kids our tradition was to celebrate the evening after the last fast even if we knew a couple days ahead ( not that we ever had fireworks anyway)
Kindness is always the right choice.
