@edhelka that GJ is lovely... I've just planted one, but nowhere near flowering yet... Am I right in thinking you also grow Princess Alexandra of K (I do too)? In pics the colours of those two roses often look almost identical... how do they differ for you?
@Janie B Yes, I have both of them. I agree that in my pictures above, GJ's colour looks almost like PAoK. In reality, GJ is slightly deeper (weather depending) and colder pink, PAoK is usually warm pink.
I tend to just leave longer canes to bloom in-situ then cut them down to size, @Marlorena, it’s fairly dark inside the house and we are outside such a lot, it seems a waste!
@Katsa, just to say Soul is classed as a shrub rose, it blooms in clusters, plus lots of short, blooming laterals on mine as it’s is fanned out against a fence. It does need sun though, mine gets 4-6hrs in the morning. Sheltered from the worst of the rain would be good as fully open blooms do spoil when it’s pouring down.
How do roses know you are slagging them off? Having moaned about the atrocious balling of Pure Poetry, even without rain, it’s now behaving itself!
Julia Child looking as fabulous as ever:
Harlow Carr:
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
@Nollie - Maybe I should go outside and give PP and PJ a good talking to! Tell them that they need to buck up their ideas, pull up their socks and generally live up to my expectations

I wanted to provide an update on my rose, I have previously posted a couple of times concerned that it wasn't blooming since planted late 2018.
However it is now blooming 😃 and has a subtle aromatic scent. Here are the photos, below, any thoughts on the type of rose it is?
Thanks
Carol

Working day today so no time for garden. I got a bouquet to keep at desk.
Elle is just like how I imagined both in terms of colour and fragrance.
