Went to Painswick Rococo garden today. I hadn't realised that it was so close to where we were staying. It's been shown on Gardeners World a few times. Really great if you haven't been before, lots of different areas and interesting things to see. The boys really enjoyed it there as well.
Some roses - unnamed sorry! Lovely flowers - Scabious Black Knight, I'd like to grow some next year.
'Agnes Schilliger' Unknown HT, huge blooms 'Archduke Charles', unfortunately, this doesn't do well for me and will be removed 'PAoK' gaura, verbena, foxglove 'Daybreak' 'Paul T/N', the first long shoot growing nicely 'Gertrude Jekyll', clematis foliage
Few from my garden today. My new yellow ruffled rose arrived too, out of flower but might get a few this year I hope. Abracadabra; Eden rose. Goregeous Sheilas perfume Eden again Brother Cadfael Copper lights (styles). Lovely. My new nozomi standard, reblooming a bit! Will be potted up properly.
Colonel mustard
Cadfael again. Best its ever flowered this year. Smells wonderful. Spikey glenfidditch looking lovely in the yellows bed. Underplanted with dianthus rockin red and coreopsis
@Nollie, @Tack Thank you. I have included 'The Prince' in TCL order. But at the last minute I've been told they've excluded it due to poor quality. There is another rose garden in Netherlands which I came across last year but no response for the phone calls. Trying to get the roses through our friend who is living there.
@edhelka, I have both Augusta Louise and Aquarell. The flowers are very big and beautiful, repeat is good too but plant is prone to blackspot. Both lost lots of leaves and have now grown new ones. I would keep them in pots but wont plant in border.
@Omori, it still says that on TCLs website and DA are still not shipping here. It appears to be a self-imposed ban by DA since it’s perfectly feasible to export either way with a phytosanitary cert. Italy tends to be a rule breaker, so might ignore that @Rojas! I’m going to wait and see what rose.it propagates next year, as although they are currently out of stock, they still list all the old Austins I was after.

Mind you it was like this last year too, end of August was quite cold, then it warmed up again at the start of September.
Hopefully that will have slowed down the second flush at home and I won't have missed it! Back home tomorrow.

Has anyone bought roses from here? They have 'The Prince' in the catalogue, I have been told by them to contact during bare root season.

And anyone with 'Augusta Louise'/'Rachel' or her sports, how does it do for you?
I know I should have paid more attention during the season
