@zugenie - lovely. Well you can always buy another more roses, including this one, for your new home. Good luck with the move and come back next year to show us your new purchases 😃

..your Mme A M is growing at a rate of knots...  I hope you have the space to leave it grow, which I don't...  mine would be 6 x 10 feet no problem.. I'd love to see it like that and have considered moving it.. I keep eyeing up a potential spot only to find something else has got there first..

I’ve not got that much space unfortunately, Marlorena, maybe 5x5ft. I didn’t expect it to take off quite so fast!

@Marlorena I do love the look of Blush Noisette flowers, but I really like Malvern Hills’ vigour (there’s a lot of empty wall that it can cover…) Argh, decisions!😩

@zugenie I’ve just moved houses and I took my Kew Gardens with me. I knew that if I’d left it behind it’d be destined to a slow death (it was growing in the communal back garden to the block of flats I lived in and I was the only person to ever attend to the garden, plant and water flowers etc). I’ve just planted it out today . It may not survive but at least I feel I’ve given it a chance.

I know, and the new garden is very much a blank slate! I have taken some cuttings of the roses I have currently so hopefully I can get some free roses from those!

I don't blame you! The blue moon is so established I can't see it being happy with being moved, didn't feel worth it! I am taking a couple of plants with me though, was quite funny adding those to the inventory! Our buyers aren't gardeners but they've said they want to keep the borders (all planted and established, I did point out an established border is much less maintenance than anything else they might put in!)

When I sold my dad's house I did a fuller inventory of the garden than the house. I did a full and detailed plant list, with advice on soil and tree management :D Luckily the buyers were a young couple who are passionate gardeners who have done a fantastic job with the garden (and haven't concreted it over). We're still in touch.

Did anyone watch the white garden segment in the latest GW episode? It was towards the end of the show. I thought it was quite beautiful, and the lady is a lover of roses with over a hundred in not a huge space.

@Omori I did, it was very pretty! Beautifully elegant. I recognised Desdemona I think too. I loved how passionate she was about it too.

@JessicaS Yes definitely a kindred spirit! Inspired me to incorporate more white, it really looked so elegant as you say.
