Lots of bulbs now planted mostly gladioli, don’t like them in the garden but love as a cut flower so they can grow at the allotment. Also dug up lots of strawberry plants to replant in the garden in raised troughs on the patio where rodents won’t venture. Warming up but a cold wind.

Glad you're feeling ok after your vaccine @Songbird-1
Thank you, yes OH is ok at the moment. He just had an achy arm for a couple days last time. I hope I'm lucky with 2nd vaccine🤞🤞
    Have an easy day Hazel.
    Goodness @debs64 you've been busy.

I like to go to the allotment early if I go at the weekend it gets rather noisy later on, I am usually a sociable person but when I am gardening leave me alone please! Strawberries are now in situ I have more plants to move from allotment just need to find a spot for them.
Lunch in a bit then more time in the garden I should make time for ho****ork really but plenty of time for that on rainy days.
Anybody got a retractable washing line? I could do with one for the patio, heard bad things about them though? Anyone got a good one to recommend?

We had one of those too @Songbird-1
I remember tan coloured tights drooped over it what a sight for sore eyes!
I am thinking of one for the patio don’t have room for a proper line but I love the smell of outdoor dried stuff and it’s better for the environment isn’t it?

Our old neighbour used to have one of those @debs64 Always worked well. Unfortunately she moved and took it with her. So have no idea of the make.....which of course makes me not very helpful to you sorry 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I'm sure *rg*s used to sell them or Rob D#@$
I remember those over the bath pull out line @Songbird-1 😂 Yes with tights over them too! 🤣
  • Visiting rellies today and they came to visit my garden.  Feel rejuvenated after an afternoon shower and blow dry.  LB I hop you enjoyed your catch up with yours.  Ante I love the videos on GW.  Not as warm as yesterday.  I have a family of snails clinging to my bird table, huddled together.   I’m just having a cuppa.

Nasty indoor stuff done so I can use the next few days for fun stuff. Just seen a blackbird drinking from the fountain feature in the front garden. So pleased! It’s only tiny and solar powered but the sound of water is pleasant. Worth the bother of topping it up regularly if birds use it

Good afternoon everyone. Hahaha yes SGL, when I saw the gobbledygook I had written I had to laugh myself. Did anyone else see the seagulls? Incredible video. I had a super time with the rellies thought the wind had a wee bit of an edge to it in the garden. I had an interesting drive down the M6. The matrix llights were on warning of an incident and the speed limit set at 50mph. A little further on the signs changed to 'Animals in the Road' and a police car with all its lights on began a rolling road block until all vehicles were eventually stopped all together. We were unable to switch our engines on for 10 minutes - which felt much longer - and move off. I was desperately hoping I wouldn't see any carnage and luckily there wasn't any sign of anything but the north bound M6 had been stopped too.
Ante, that iris is absolutely gorgeous. I was admiring some in my brother's front garden as in the sunlight they had the most beautiful iridescence but they weren't as nice as yours. Fingers crossed that your Dad gets his vaccine tomorrow with no side effects. I'm feeling fine.
Hazel, glad you are OK too. I can definitely natter but my youngest sister makes me look like an amateur. I could seriously decorate the whole of my front room whilst she is talking on the phone to me. Hazel and Debs, I can remember the lines that pulled out over the bath, I never actually had one but I did have a clothes horse/maiden (for those oop North!) that opened like a tent and the feet sat on the opposite sides of the bath.
OMG American Tan tights! What a memory. I haven't worn tights since Ante was a baby! Hideous things.
Debs, I have been looking at solar birdbath fountains but haven't yet spotted one. The minute is says you need a particular depth of water in the birdbath I give up as they seem to need quite deep water. I'm obviously not looking at the correct ones.
