@Topbird, I don't think anyone in Europe is supposed to watch English TV, but there are satellite installers here who can set it up. You buy a Freesat or Humax box or whatever. That may be more of a problem after Brexit. We ordered the Humax box online 3 years ago, had a Sky box before that. It has to be registered to an English address though. OH pays his licence fee in the UK anyway and we use his English address. We can't watch iPlayer, but I think some people manage it. Is that what a VPN is for?

We would love to see you when I'm next in Norfolk, referring to what you said in a previous post.

OK - thanks @Busy-Lizzie - that's not something we can easily set up in a motorhome without a satellite dish!

Yes, you use a VPN to alter or disguise the apparent location of your computer and other internet devices. Some people use one for security reasons if they rely on communal networks to access the internet (eg at university) for banking and other services where you want an additional level of security. Others use them to access (for example) UK TV and other services outside the UK.

We used to have one but you need to pay a subscription for a legitimate provider (there are some very dodgy ones out there!) and it's not worth it for how often we need to use it. The TV companies are also getting better at detecting when one is being used...

Just a tad irritating when we pay a lot for both TV licence & a SKY subscription. Never mind - 1st world problem.

Yes - let me know when you're next around & we'll see if we can get together again.

@Ladybird4 this is mine in the bird bath which is not especially deep. I think the sound and sight of splashing water attracts more birds and it’s a sound I love.

Debs, that is so pretty. I am going to get myself one. Do you take yours indoors if there is frost forecast?

No I leave it out in all weathers and even in winter it works well. Doesn’t need a lot of sun to get going.

Afternoon folks.  Can't remember when I last posted, have been feeling a bit rough over the past few days.  Have had the result from my blood tests and apparently the iron levels in my blood are too high.  Have checked it out on line and the symptoms are smack on the nose so I have made a follow up appt with GP as requested.
Bullied myself into getting in the garden this morning,  I've been potting on some seedlings and rejigging the greenhouse to make room for some others.  Have planted my toms in a grow bag with those halo things, hope they do well this year.  I was disappointed with the taste last year.
Hubby has bought me another wisteria despite my vow not to kill another one, this will be the fourth I've planted.  This time I've had a different variety that only grows to 9ft and I'm planting it in a different spot where there is less competition from other plants.
    Hope everyone is OK.

    Afternoon,
Lovely fountain Debs, I bet the birds really enjoy that and it is a pleasing sound,
Hazel How disappointing not to be able to see the dentist for another month. It’s just not been your day has it, hope your arm is ok 💪
Yvie Sorry to hear you’ve been feeling rough, I hope they can remedy this for you if that is possible. Fingers crossed for this latest Wisteria, it sounds like you’re giving it the best chance of growing,
I need to sort my rubbish out ready for collection tomorrow and try and get some more in the green bin.
Hope you all have a good afternoon.

    Afternoon everyone
Sunny, but a chilly breeze. Have swept and hosed down the drive. Will give the garden a good watering too later.
@Ladybird4 I've got one of those solar fountains in my bird bath too. I got mine from the big river a couple of years ago. I always bring mine in around the end of September and put it back out end of April/beginning  May.  Works very well once the sun is on it.  Birds love it too 😁

@Songbird-1 goodness that's a long time to wait for another appointment. Hope you can get things sorted soon. Shame about your shopping trip too.
