Chive, I am so sorry to hear your sad news. Your and your family are in my thoughts.
We have had rain. We had some Monday night into Tuesday and also last night. The garden looks so much better for it. The grass in one area looked a bit parched but it seems to look much better. I said last night after I picked Mr PR up from work, it was so lovely to feel rain and it was. SGL, i hope the rain forecast is correct for you.
LB The post mortem was inconclusive, they sent off blood and tissue samples and allowed the cremation to go ahead. We will have to wait up to 6 weeks for the results.Â
My apologies Pauline, I think you have told us that before and I was wondering if the results were back. I've lost track of time these days and days and weeks just run into one another. Thinking about you Pauline. x

PR, I was quite happy to see the rain - especially as it was falling heavily during the night. It would be great if it did that all the time and left the days dry for pottering. There was a lovely petrichor outside today.

Feeling very jealous of those who've had rain. We've had none here for at least 6 weeks and a less than 40% chance of any in the next 7 days. I sometimes wonder if I shouldn't just pave the whole garden and be done with it. Very disheartening at times.
Sorry - feeling a bit out of sorts at the moment. We've had a problem with the phone line this week and now all the emails have gone down (the 2 are not related). I know it's pathetic but OH seems to know a bit more about what he's doing with all that so I tend to leave it to him. He's out at work all day today and going away for 4 days tomorrow. I really hope he can sort it out tonight as I rely on emails for everything important (finance, tax, health, shopping etc etc) and I'm feeling very cut off at the moment. Need to get some perspective...
On which note - Chive - I'm so very sorry to hear your news. It's always a shock to hear of an unexpected death. I hope you and your mum can support & comfort one another today. Thinking of you.

Afties all. Oh my T'Bird, that is not good news at all. Its odd you can access t'internet but your email provision isn't functioning. Just a thought but have you contacted your service provider in case there is a fault at their end?

Thanks for the thought LB but I don't think that will be the problem. Ours is a private domain email address & it will probably be something to do with the settings in that. Probably didn't help that I did a computer update last night & that sometimes mucks up emails, but I also can't get them on my iPad / phone and OH hasn't had any on any of his devices either.
He understands better than me how it all works together but even he gets confused. I think, if he can get us up and running we might be changing email addresses to Gmail or similar.
The work involved with notifying everyone and changing online accounts doesn't bear thinking about....

Chive I’m sorry to hear your sad news.  You and mum will be support for each other.  I am sorry to hear this.  Lily I’ve had a relaxing day today thank you.  Pauline I’m sorry the post-mortem was inconclusive.  I do hope you are having support to help you through this.  I do feel for you. Â
T'Bird, I can understand the nightmare of informing people of a new email address. My brother who is the accountant, once had a bit of a mess when his hotmail address was 'lost/hacked' and all his clients addresses disappeared. Luckily, not being too au fait with BCC, he had sent out a Christmas greetings email to all his clients and me, being in his address book got the email too. I was able to create a gmail address for him and sent all of the clients addresses back to him so his panic was quelled. He was able then to edit the gmail address and he would never touch hotmail again. Nowadays it may be far safer.
