Sorry to close on another sad note but I learned that the little hedgehog my brother saw recently was actually in distress. Appearing in the open during the daytime is a warning sign, he contacted the rescue centre and captured the hog, but it died from injuries it had already sustained. I’m so upset that it was too late to help, but if sharing this experience helps another one to be saved then perhaps something good can come from it.

I was expecting the cancellation LB and how I look at it, I still have something to look forward to later in the year. Gin festivals are good. I really enjoy them. It's not just going and sampling gins (although that is a good part of it) but also the distillers do presentations about their gins/their story and you get to have a chat with them, ask questions and give feedback.

LB, hope your doggie feels better very soon. We feel awful when sending our beloved pets in alone but I think the vets prefer it. My late doggie was scared of the vets but the vet told me that he played up a bit when I was in the room (apparently lots of doggies do) they used to really struggle with him (but I think I was partly to blame as I knew he was scared so would fuss and probably reinforce his feelings) so they would take him into another room without me and would be back in minutes whatever done with no bother.

Morning everyone, A very dull grey and very cold morning. Looks like it's going to pour down any minute. Waiting in for a delivery of a new wheelbarrow, garden fork and some bags of potting compost.
