    Morning all,

Just been out for a potter as it started to get light. Or inspecting for overnight developments really!

A few days ago there were half a dozen holes/scrapes around my apple tree/rhubarb/strawbs. Any guesses as to which little animal might have been busy? No evidence of burying food/faeces so I'm guessing it was looking for food. It's a one-off occurrence so far but protection for that patch is imminent after the strawb eating incident a few weeks ago :o Not sure how well you can see the digging in the photos but my first wild guess would be hedgehog?

Good morning Ruby and Biglad. Sorry that you had a bad night's sleep last night Ruby. Biglad have you seen any squirrels around? Another culprit could be a rat.

Not seen any squirrels recently @Ladybird4 but we did used to have one that buried stuff in the lawn. I was hoping that nobody would mention the R word :o

As well as some protective netting/cage, I think a trail camera will be purchased shortly.

Oh dear Biglad. I know that I have both in my garden. Ooh thats just triggered a thought, Chive asked the other day if the roe deer were in my garden and I forgot to reply. The roe deer are regular visitors to the field at the bottom of my garden Chive. Its lovely to see them. The pictures I take of them are a bit 'grainy' because I have to take them through windows upstairs in my house

I didn't mind the squirrel too much @Ladybird4 . Even if they are a grey pest, fun to watch and my 'lawn' is a boggy, mossy, weed-filled mess anyway.

I'll be really cheesed off if we do have rats considering the size of the feline population that arrogantly stroll around my property p!ssing, puking and s******* wherever they choose. The least they could do in return is a bit of rodent extermination!

Definitely need a camera to find out exactly what goes on....

    Morning everyone,
We have beautiful blue skies and the sun is shining this morning. Do hope it stays all day again.
We've seen a little black cat in our garden the past couple of months creeping along trying to catch the birds. I've shushed it away a few times as we have a lot of birds visit/nest in our garden. I found out yesterday that it was our NDN new cat. Its 4 months old and she said it regularly brings in a dead bird 😥😥 apparently Friday night it was a chaffinch and yesterday morning a bluetit. I know it's in their nature but it made me quite sad that its killing my little birds.
Hope you find out the culprit @Biglad and it's not a rat 😕
Sorry you had a bad nights sleep @Rubee
    Lovely good morning photo @Ladybird4
Time for my first cup of tea 🤗☕☕

Good morning Rubee, Biglad, LB, SGL and all to follow.

tea i finished and I'll take a painting brush in my hands. I hate painting the walls but it's not a big surface, so I'll manage somehow. Here is grey and cold.

    Have a nice Sunday!

Good morning all. Sunny here, planning a lazy day with fiancé he served nearly 200 meals yesterday and after a busy week he is exhausted. Good that people are eating out and supporting businesses but hard work. If you are going out to eat  please be patient.
Hope you all have a lovely Sunday
