Morning Debs, you snuckered in there. In one sense you will have a joyous day today - seeing your daughter and the little treasure that is Thomas - so I hope that your worries and concerns get pushed back. It must be such a real worry for yourself - and many thousands of others who have been so badly impacted by the last year. If you do decide to take on the extra work you mention, at least you will be with your fiancé so a little plus point there.

@Ladybird4 I am luckier than many I know as I have a way to earn extra cash but at my age a day of waitressing is hard work. I am worried that staffing levels will go down with hours being lost and that means more work and more stress for all of us. Add to that the policy of employing cheaper pharmacists and it’s not looking good. I am only grateful that I am not at the start of my working life. Fiancé has offered to take on some bills but after years with a difficult ex husband I enjoy my financial independence and it’s not easy to say yes. My head knows it’s a different story now and my lovely fiancé won’t be asking me to account for every penny I spend but my instincts are wary. If he takes on more bills will I feel guilty treating myself? Money is a minefield isn’t it?
Hope a sunny day in the garden will help.

    Morning

A lovely day again today. I have the day off which was expected this week but it was so lovely finding out yesterday that I was off today.

Debs. I hope you have a lovely garden day today and it takes your mind off your worries. I hope everything works out well for you.

    LB beautiful flowers above.

Just had a walk to the post box and its glorious. I noticed the sixth form students waiting for their bus to whisk them off, heads buried in their smart phones possibly texting people that they will be talking to in real life once the bus arrives.

    Morning everyone,
A misty and frosty morning. But the sun is peeking through. Forecast is for another sunny day.
@debs64 sorry to hear you will have to take your extra hours worked in time off rather than being paid. Seems very unfair,  especially how hard you have worked this last year.  Hope something can be sorted out for you during the meeting.
Have a lovely day in your gardens everyone. I've a few unmentionable things to do first 😉

Hi all, just got back from daughter’s house, lovely day in the garden and long chat with her, I am doing my usual trick of getting stressed before I know the full facts and it may benefit me to work Saturday mornings if I can get Friday off so feeling much calmer it’s just the not knowing that is difficult. Thomas is very cute too
