That parsley looks good @Pat E ... that remind me ... I must sow some more ...
I didn’t know you have choughs and ravens so I did some Googling ... it seems yours are different to ours 😆 As for starlings... we love the little family that nest in next door’s roof every summer ... it seems sad that people would rather feed a flock of goldfinches which are on the Green List and increasing in number than starlings which are decreasing in numbers so much that they’re on the Red List. They’re beautiful and fascinating to watch ... as I sit here I can here the male whistling and chattering ... we love to hear them in the spring when they return here.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Good morning @Dovefromabove You are an early bird this morning! Glad you have no ill effects from the vaccine. Take it slow, though.
Afternoon @Pat E goat's cheese, tomato and parsley. I'll try that when my Marmite supply dries up. We don't know what is going to happen here in France re Brit supplies. Our local SMs seem to have plenty of stock in their "international section" for now - at a price!
Rain here again, soft still but the soil is wet not sodden. Cooler temperatures for a few days. The weather is certainly up and down. Weeding will be on the agenda now - easier to pull out.
Morning all, had a little rain yesterday here, (after we had slogged, getting every drop of water from the bath!") I have so much to plant up, most clay its been like a ruddy brick, some showers mentioned for later, yes Ive got to go shopping, as well. Tomorrw both dogs to the vets, teeth cleaning for Luna GA obviously, Leo, something to do with his neather regions, those having their first cuppa, even breakfast or generally of squeamish disposition may prefer NOT to know. Then a visit to both disabled sons, with Korma Iand crumbles I am making later
Back from town and we’ve both had our flu vaccines, we’ve got our names down for the COVID vaccine in a couple of weeks . It’ll be interesting to see how we react to it, based on what others have been writing. Hopefully, not too uncomfortable. 🙄
My parsley self-seeds all over the garden beds, Dove. I’ve been handing out large bunches to all who show an interest in having some. The flavour is really strong. Yummy.
Our Choughs are the red beaked variety Dove. They are very family oriented. 😁😁
Love your cheese/tomato/parsley combo @Pat E 😋. And great news that you’re booked in for a Covid jab too.
Sorry to hear your news @didyw .....always sad when you lose someone who has touched the lives of multiple generations. But a life well lived.
So pleased to hear your trip to Oxford went well @punkdoc - and that both of you got some smiles from it.
Rain yesterday was good for the garden 🪴......but now back to frost alert til the weekend is over. Pilates turned into a walk round the park, tea with friends went ahead under umbrellas and parasols .......so lovely to see them again. We are Wisley bound in a couple of weeks time, so expect more rain then.
Hi Chicky. That breakfast of mine is something I have every day unless Aldi have run out of their wonderful goat’s cheese. Then it’s vegemite on toast until they get another supply in. 😁 good to hear from you. Hope the girls are going ok with their studies.
We haven’t seen Gardeners’ World for ages. Must be at least 2 years I think. It’s irritating that it’s not offered. I’d at least like the choice. Plenty of shows about Hitler’s or Stalin’s time, etc., but no gardening shows except our Ozzie one.
