This morning I hoed the veg garden, again, and bashed in a third fence post and strung a wire along the three to make a support for the Tayberries and tall raspberries. The other row of raspberries shouldn't need support.
I watched an Escape to the Country, while I had my ham sandwich for lunch.
This afternoon I painted another coat on the first bookcase. It will need another, so far had undercoat and pale grey coat. Then the builder came with 2 m3 of logs which I've started stacking. He put up a shelf in the utility room broom cupboard, didn't charge me for it.

There's posh,Chicky, I treated myself to some last year just coming out now, have mentioned a theatre, but the old man has been making a rather posh pergola, not quite finished because the rotator cuff injury is now playing up
That's nice of him @Busy-Lizzie, is the refurb nearly finished now, you seem to have been painting for ages.
We had a good day out. Had lunch on our friends terrace and then met other Austin enthusiast friends at a golf driving range which had a small cafe attached. Scrumptious coffee and walnut cake. Good to catch up on all the gossip. Saw quite a few other classic and vintage cars on the road, it's a national Drive It day for all clubs . Wasn't going to bother with a Sunday roast but have just given in and put the oven on so we'll be eating later than usual tonight Hope you all had a good day.
Lizzie coffee cake AND a roast π€£ went shopping with youngest daughter, grandkids have outgrown every thing, I had a couple of vouchers, let her have them. The we took the dogs to local park and woods, suddenly realised the Phalene was not with us.all looking in different directions, said to this lady with a dog, have you seen a black and white you dog, found if you tell people the breed, they don't know it,had a rather strange conversation, she thought I meant a soft toy, then daughter came back carrying him
Goodness me @Busy-Lizzie you are getting a move on ... great respect πΒ
Supper is over and everything washed up and put away. We had what an American friend used to call βA New England Dinnerβ of a boiled smoked bacon joint with carrots leeks and potatoes and a parsley sauce. All cooked in the slow cooker.Β
Now we have to start preparing the kitchen so that the new boiler can be fitted in a Covid-safe way tomorrow. This will involve moving seed trays from the windowsill to a safe spot in the studio. Β
The alarm will be sounding early tomorrow morning ... hope it doesnβt wake you @didyw πΒ
Gardening in Central NorfolkΒ on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Tree cutting men are coming tomorrow to get the Leylandii hedge under control and cut down an enormous cypress tree that is leaning over the parking area and the electricity cable. I must go to bed, they arrive at 8 am.

Good luck with the boiler fitting @Dovefromabove - if I hear your alarm I'll just hit snooze and turn over.Β @Busy-Lizzie - sounds like you deserved that coffee & walnut cake - yum.Β @Nanny Beach Nice to have a posh pergola!Β And would love to see a pic of your toy dog!Β We've just finished watching Line of Duty - just one more episode to go!Β Anna Maxwell Martin who plays the really rather horrid DCS Patricia Carmichael is also in Motherwell playing a very different part. Great actress!Β Β

Just half a wall to second coat, 3 more bookcases and a desk for the garage conversion. Then I will do our bedroom.
