Hi Forkers. Another day like the others today. I managed to find some music on my iPad that cheered me, but no exercise. I feel guilty, but I have to just live with the guilt. I’m not wandering around in cold weather.😁😁
No frost this morning but that's because it was cloudy, have had a bit of sun since. The nippy wind is still out there but I'm hoping it will dry the sheets on the line.
One electrician has come, he's hanging around waiting for the boss man.
I felt quite strange last night, really tired, went to bed and then felt very hot and a bit not quite there. Maybe it was the Covid jab. I feel OK now.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Thank you for the gee up people, the idea of a 'date' sounds good @Dovefromabove
Perhaps we ought to have a virtual cocktail party or something and upload a photo of us in our finest with a glass of something, perhaps just out finest from the waist up....can't cope with too much effort.
I'll just blame the serotonin levels though for now @Allotment Boy
Glad you enjoyed yourday out @chicky, that Alpine house looks amazing.
I was watching BBC Breakfast yesterday and they showed the weather from the first National Trust Property, it looked lovely and I do miss visiting their places, I was a member when I lived in the UK. In the past I have been to quite a few chateau's here, but certainly I have not found the gardens to be as nice, a bit too formal for my liking. Maybe I haven't been to enough yet.
I have decided to organise a Takeaway Curry Night for CdeG, I really need something to keep me occupied and focus on. Anyone got any good Beef Curry recipes?

Hello forkers. I haven't posted on this thread before, so I hope you don't think I'm too cheeky. @D0rdogne_Damsel, my husband is very keen on cooking curries, and he often uses this website- he says it's very good- glebekitchen.com/indian. 😊
SO, [ never start a sentence with so ], what do you do about families?
My middle sister, who has not had much to do with helping Mum in the last year, has informed me via email / letter long telephone rant, that I was totally wrong to deny my Mum the amputation, that might save her life.
She now wants nothing to do with me, and is trying to find out whether she can sue me.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Oh 'eck @punkdoc ((hug)) you know perfectly well that she can't ...and you also know that in that sort of situation people feel stuff, say stuff, and act in irrational ways ... but it doesn't help does it? Many many hugs from here.

Thank you @bullfinch, and everyone is welcome here. An interesting and informative site.
Oh @punkdoc I am sorry to hear that, as @Dovefromabove says she is probably struggling with the situation for her own reasons (guilt?? ) anyway, and you are an easy target to blame. I say keep calm, keep your dignity and nothing will be said that can't be unsaid. You know why/how you reached your decision and are probably in a better position than most to make it. Big hug to you and yours.

Families can be extremely hurtful @punkdoc. I can understand your sister being so upset but not that she doesn't respect your, presumably, better medical knowledge based decisions about your mum. It's going to take a lot of time and patience on your part. Huge hugs.
Another bright, sunny day here but no visible frost early on. Just "feels like". We're not losing this northerly wind any time soon and no rain forecast in the next 10 days so another very dry April but last year we also had a heatwave.
I can understand anyone feeling very fed up with it all but OH has been next door with Bruno shoveling up a trailer load of 2 yr old horse poo for my new dahlia bed. I have made another big batch of my red cabbage salad and some Coronation chicken for lunch and then went out watering - sprinkle on the new lawn which is just so much grass seed at the mo then sprinkler on the ruin beds so I can weed them and transplant some snowdrops after lunch.
I have loads of spring and summer clothes that haven't seen the light of day @D0rdogne_Damsel and @Dovefromabove and have spent the winter and spring so far in jeans and layers of thermal vests, t-shirts, fleeces and jumpers but I do get cleaned up once a week for the SM raid and wear proper trousers and tops and even a skirt and top this week.

@D0rdogne_Damsel Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Just watched the weather report at 1pm - looks like we are in for the same weather until next Sunday - nothing over 16° down here and that Bise wind coming off the Massif Centrale for us. Sigh!
