Miscommunication yesterday. I caught my oldest boy picking my muscari and separating the flowers into little 'berries'. I told him not to pick too many as the bees like to eat them. He looked thoughtful and went off to do something else. Later on I caught him giving the berries to some woodlice he found under a stone while saying 'come on beetles, eat your breakfast'.

Dobies of Devon now owned by Thompson and Morgan.

Yes, Dobies of Devon are now owned by Thompson and Morgan. Suttons seed and Dobies were bought out by T&M late last year.

I switched from buying from T&M due to their appalling service and plants arriving dead to Dobies of Devon and they were always good quality and on time. I mostly sow my own each year , but I've ordered some plug plants of those difficult to grow from seed (for me anyway) Calibrachoa. I do hope T&M will leave Dobies to manage themselves . If not its downhill from here and I'll be looking for someone else to buy from.

Is there no competition regulator that puts a stop to one company hoovering up all the others I thought that was the point of the regulator.

    Bah...........

Foxes are disgusting bggggrs. A couple of months ago one shtt right in the middle of some ground feed I'd left down. Now I find it's shtt in the bird bath /drink . I get the marking territory, but why make the water undrinkable even to itself?

It doesn't seem that regulations, ethics or morals play much part in business practices these days.

So does that mean T&M now own the organic gardening company?
