"As midsummer approaches, it’s the perfect time for Monty to place succulents outside at Longmeadow, as well as planting out dahlias and tender vegetables.
Carol Klein visits Trebah Garden in Cornwall, where she finds plants which can add early summer pazazz to our borders. Nick Bailey is at RHS Wisley to look at a variety of shrubs that can be used as alternatives to traditional box hedging.
We travel to the seaside in Kent to meet a group of gardeners who have transformed an unloved public space, and in Wales, we find a garden packed with unusual and prehistoric plants."
When Joe was talking to Helen in the contemporary/modern garden, they were filmed through some tall, wispy grasses. It's from 8 minutes in, particularly 8 mins 30 and 9 mins 10.
Could anyone say what the grasses are, please?

Joe Swift travels to Marwood Hill Gardens in Devon to explore plants that thrive in moist conditions, and in Buckinghamshire, we uncover the story of a hidden collection of iris accumulated over a period of 45 years. In Midlothian, we visit a nursery where the Himalayan blue poppy is a speciality, and Frances Tophill meets a florist who has a passion for growing cut flowers on her allotment."

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
"The price good men (and women) pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men (and women)."
Not a fan of meconopsis; I prefer red oriental poppies.
Liked the beer bit at the end, but wished I had a bigger garden where no neighbour was bothered by the others' bbq smoke, mackerel or otherwise. I will never be as rich as Mr Frost to enjoy such a lovely space.
