    Was a good solid episode!
There seems to be a better filtration for viewers garden videos now. They finally concentrate on videos that are focused either on one plant people are passionate about or just do sort of a garden tour rather than people pretending to be presenters. Didn’t cringe during those this time around )

My husband seems to strongly think that they’re preparing everyone for Monty’s retirement and Adam taking over show completely

Must admit l enjoyed it, the only part l fast forwarded through was the item about the Wisteria as it's not something l'm ever likely to grow. It was a stunning plant though.
I like Adam's presenting style, but l don't know if he'd want the hassle of presenting every week.

    I like them both.

However Monty seems like a gentleman, he always has something nice to say about the gardens from the home videos whereas I’ve noticed Adam sometimes doesn’t.

I'm quite happy with flipping between the two each week. However, AF's cats are as unwelcome a distraction as MD's dogs ;)

IMHO it's not the presenters, but the whole production has just become airy fairy, schmaltzy and sickly sweet .
Too much ponsy waffle, shots of dozing pets, and arty silent "mindfullness" sections.
I think it just needs to get back to its roots ( see what I did then ? ;)  ) and just become a proper gardening programme for gardeners  and not just  TV "wallpaper" .
A good hard look at what's working/ not working / needed and not needed ( and that includes the whole production team )

Yes @Hostafan1 but then I've been saying that for years, especially about the production team.

I presume the viewing figures are holding up, so they probably think "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".
    Good pun there @Hostafan1 😁.

Did you watch Carol Klein's show on C5? Content-wise, and in style, I much preferred that to GW as it is now (and, to be fair, as it always has been for me given that I've only been watching this past three years!).

Carole is a little over enthusiastic for some, but I love her. Sheer passion and decades of knowledge built up by the experience of , not only gardening, but running a successful nursery and countless RHS shows under her belt.
Like Geoff Hamilton, Alan Titchmarsh, Joe Swift, Toby Buckland .Chris Beardshaw and many others, they've DONE the job to pay their bills,  be it parks departments, working / lecturing at Kew, landscaping, nurseries,  garden design business etc etc, not just talked bout it and written about .
