Hi everyone. Sunny day here. 😃

  • Morning all,

Just in from having my Covid vaccination. What a relief.

    Now time for coffee ☕

A bit cloudy and chilly here too @Busy-Lizzie, I think I'll be in the GH to start with sowing seeds.

Lunches to do for CdeG too later and preparation for Afternoon Teas for tomorrow and beef and Ale Pie, I'm going to put it in the slow cooker.

Hope you all have a good day. 🙂

    Good morning gardening crew!
Windy again today - the day is promised to be between 16°/18° this afternoon!  Our nights are quite chilly at 2°C/6°C (probably not for you up in Blighty).

@D0rdogne_Damsel    Beef and Ale Pie sounds like a good idea!  (with mashed potato!)
@Busy-Lizzie    We could do with some rain down here, it is sooo dry.

Have a good gardening day all.

A good hoeing is worth two waterings.

  • @Busy-Lizzie I sowed them in trays with a cover and they're in the greenhouse. On our plot foxgloves pop up self seeded all over the place, in dry stone walls , pots and on the gravel drive but we've never had any Alba. Was a beautiful day yesterday and looking good so far. Trying to calculate how many bags of compost I'll need to fill those new raised beds...think it will be expensive!

@sam bevington I hope your alba foxgloves 'take'. I occasionally sow a small clump of them. They cross with the self sown native ones so after a couple of years you get a marvellous selection of shades of pink. At which point I usually reintroduce a few more white ones so that the variation continues. I think they'd all revert to purple if left to themselves for a few years.

Morning all. @punkdoc hope you and Moira get a spell of quiet and then she finds another job where her time and skills are properly valued.

I had the vaccine on Sunday - felt a bit off colour on Sunday night and Monday but nothing too dramatic. I'm managing to get a few seeds started so gardening has begun for the Spring. Our ornamental cherry is suddenly in full bloom, along with a wild cherry type thing I grew from a seed - I think it's probably a bullace. Very pretty (and early) blossom. Clocks go forward this weekend. It's all good  :)
